We sat down with Torri Shack for a candid conversation about upstream suicide prevention, trans advocacy, and building resilience. As founder of Tangible Movement, Torri shares how the nonprofit uses lived experience to train frontline teams in mental health, LGBTQ+ equity, and de-escalation—and why prevention needs to start before someone reaches a crisis. Together, Meliton and Torri explore what schools, employers, courts, and police can miss when supporting LGBTQ+ people. Torri also reflects on surviving suicide attempts, getting sober, and turning difficult experiences into work that helps others. This is a challenging, personal conversation about acceptance, preparation, and keeping people alive.
