It doesn't matter how much you love something if seemingly no one else does. Thus, Halo Studios (and 343 prior) are no more. The question is, will Activision run the franchise any better? Only time will tell. We share our impressions on 007 First Light and Onimusha as well!

Everyone has an opinion when it comes to video game review scores and we're no different. The question this time is, "Is Wolverine really a 6/10?" We haven't finished it yet, but we've looked high and low and it sure doesn't seem so.

Episode 11: GTA, Gamescom & The Witcher 3
Who knew the most exciting game at Gamescom would be a remaster of an 11 year old title and its new expansion pack? We can't say we're too upset. What is upsetting however, is the leaks that have transpired over the last week. It seems that for every amazing video game announcement there has to be one bit of news that hits like a gut punch.

We're not sure how to handle being in the year 2026 where we are blessed with copious amounts of stellar video games to play while simultaneously noticing that 2027 will be even better. Episode 8: Alpha Halo
It's been almost 25 years since Halo: Combat Evolved changed the FPS landscape forever. We've had celebrations in the past...most notably Halo: CE Anniversary, but while that was a mere coat of paint...Campaign evolved is a total overhaul. Episode 7: Golden Age of Gaming
You know that little dog that's sitting in a room surrounded by fire that says, "this is fine"? Well, that is basically the gaming industry as we know it. While corporations continue to layoff and increase their anti-consumer policies tenfold that's done nothing to stop the litany of quality games releasing one after another. This episode we zero in on the positive. There's a ton we're looking forward to the rest of the year, so let's get right into it.

Episode 5: PlayStation Kills Physical Games
It's a very weird time in the video game industry right now. On one hand, more quality games than ever are releasing month after month. On the other hand, console manufacturers are raising prices, killing consumer choice and making the entire hobby less accessible. In 2013 it felt like Sony were the saviors of gaming, but lately it seems they're doing all they can to usher in its undoing.

Episode 4: The Price of Everything Has Gone Up
Video games? $80. Consoles? $1,000. This is the new reality we're living in as Grand Theft Auto VI raises the barrier to entry while locking content behind an even higher price tag. Steam Machine staggers the mind as even the lowest packages that do not include a controller exceed four digits. Xbox continues its inability to catch a break by raising the price of their consoles even higher. The good news is that we have a complete onslaught of video game releases coming imminently and backlogs that trail for miles. We won't go without content, but being there early is likely to result in a second mortgage.
