Episode 06: You Don’t Have to Be Good at Everything
What if being capable is actually keeping you stuck?
In this episode of Later is NOW®, Leigh challenges the pressure to know everything, carry everything, fix everything—and be good at everything.
We’re talking about the difference between competence and calling, why being needed isn’t the same as being valuable, and the freedom that comes when you stop performing and give yourself permission to be a beginner.
Because maybe your next level doesn’t require you to do more.
Maybe it requires you to finally put something down.
You don’t have to be impressive to be impactful. And you definitely don’t have to be good at everything.

Episode 04: Grief Doesn’t Knock
Grief doesn’t knock. It doesn’t ask if you have room for it. It doesn’t check your calendar or wait until life settles down.
It just shows up.
And grief isn’t only about death.
Sometimes you’re grieving a person. Sometimes you’re grieving a job, a relationship, a dream, an identity, a version of your life you thought you would have—or even a version of you that no longer exists.
In Episode 04 of Later is NOW®, Leigh Allyson Smith opens an honest conversation about the grief we name…and the grief we often don’t.
What happens when you keep functioning but never actually heal? When everyone thinks you’re strong because you kept going—but privately, you’re carrying losses you never gave yourself permission to mourn?
This episode is an invitation to name it. Feel it. Talk about it. Pray about it.
Because healing doesn’t require you to forget what you lost.
And grief isn’t proof that God has left you. Sometimes grief is simply proof that love lived there.
Next week, Leigh continues the conversation with her mother as they talk candidly about losing her father, navigating life after loss, and what it means to keep living when someone you love is no longer physically here.
Scriptures referenced in this episode:
📖 “Jesus wept.” -John 11:35
📖 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” -Psalm 34:18
📖 “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” -Psalms 56:8
Grief may change your story, but it does not get to write your ending.

Episode 03: The Lies We Tell Ourselves When We’re Afraid
Fear has a voice.
It whispers…
“You’re not ready.”
“What if you fail?”
“God has forgotten you.”
“Stay where it’s safe.”
The problem isn’t that fear speaks. The problem is when we start believing its lies.
In this episode of Later is NOW, Leigh Allyson Smith exposes the subtle lies fear plants in our minds and contrasts them with the unchanging truth of God’s Word. You’ll discover how fear disguises itself as wisdom, why hesitation can quietly rob you of purpose, and how to discern the difference between caution led by God and fear driven by doubt.
If you’ve ever delayed a dream, questioned your calling, or wondered whether God could really use you, this conversation is for you.
It’s time to stop believing fear—and start believing God.
In this episode you’ll discover:
* The most common lies fear tells us
* How fear disguises itself as wisdom
* Why obedience often requires courage before confidence
* Practical ways to replace fear with faith
* A challenge to take your next step—even if you’re afraid
Scriptures Referenced:

Episode 02: Sometimes the Best Thing That Ever Happens Is “No”
Have you ever thanked God for a prayer He didn’t answer?
Probably not.
But one day… you just might.
In this episode, Leigh Allyson Smith explores the surprising truth that some of life’s greatest blessings begin with disappointment. Whether you’ve experienced rejection, a job loss, a closed door, a broken relationship, or a dream that didn’t unfold the way you hoped, this conversation will challenge you to see God’s “no” through a different lens.
Because sometimes the closed door isn’t punishment.
It’s preparation.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
— Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
Maybe God isn’t closing a chapter.
Maybe He’s writing a better one.
Later is where dreams go to die.
NOW is where purpose comes alive.
