From Addiction and Prostitution to Christ: Kelly Clark’s Miraculous Transformation

On Latter-day Miracles, host Haley Hatch Freeman interviews author and addiction advocate Kelly Clark, who shares her journey from childhood anxiety, self-harm, and a family faith crisis into decades of alcoholism and drug addiction. After placing children for adoption, losing custody of other children, and becoming homeless, she supported her heroin and meth use through prostitution in Salt Lake City and became trapped in a violent network, including a kidnapping and beating. In a motel bathroom, she felt her deceased father’s presence, who told her she would go home, help others, and write her story, sparking her to pray for the willingness to change. Later, while newly sober in Denver, she prayed for comfort, and sister missionaries arrived moments later, helping her turn to scripture, faith, and 12-step recovery. Shining Through Darkness: Tiffany Journey of Surviving a Mother with Multiple Personalities

Hosts Haley Hatch Freeman and Misty Smith welcome author, speaker, and clinical mental health counseling graduate student Tiffany Fletcher. Tiffany shares how faith practices like hymns, scripture, and focusing on gratitude helped her endure a violent childhood with a mother diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (multiple personalities), including 14 personalities ranging from a three-year-old boy to terrifying encounters with an alter named “Bill.” She teaches about recognizing Satan’s tactics, using prayer, fasting, and faith to push back darkness, and becoming “light keepers” in the latter-days. There Are No Mistakes: Mindy’s Miracle Stories

Hosts Haley Hatch Freeman and Misty Smith welcome Haley’s cousin Mindy, a BYU-trained nurse, to share experiences from her early years of motherhood. Mindy recounts receiving a strong impression in the temple to have other children. She felt overwhelming peace and the message “there are no mistakes” just before learning her baby, Tessa, had Down syndrome, and she describes subsequent support from ward members and family, including her mother sensing “grandmothers” present. Mindy shares later incidents where she believes Tessa was protected after being locked in a bathroom with running water, and where her son survived a significant fall from a window with minimal injury. She emphasizes praying always, sharing testimony despite anxiety, and that we are never alone because family members on the other side are invested in our lives.
