The Beauty of Psalm 119 Pt 5

Welcome to Zoe Life Ministries International. In this fifth teaching in our series, “The Beauty of Psalm 119,” Dr. Randy Bell, Sr. walks through Psalm 119:33–40 (He), a section filled with one repeated theme: the condition of the heart. In these verses, the psalmist asks God for instruction, understanding, and direction, then gets very specific: turn my heart away from selfish gain, turn my eyes away from worthless things, preserve my life according to your Word, and fulfill your promise. This is a practical message about spiritual heart health, and how what’s happening inside eventually shows up outside in your words, decisions, relationships, and outcomes. This episode connects spiritual heart health to real-life fruit. If the root is healthy, the fruit will be healthy. If the heart is diseased, life starts producing what you do not want. The psalmist’s solution is clear: God’s Word is the medicine that heals, cleanses, revives, and restores. Key themes covered: · Asking God to teach you obedience and keep you steady to the end (Psalm 119:33–35) · Why understanding leads to whole-hearted obedience and direction (Psalm 119:34–35) · Heart issues and life issues: “Above all else, guard your heart” (Proverbs 4:23) · Turning from covetousness, selfish gain, and vanity, and what they do to the soul (Psalm 119:36–37; 1 John 2:15–17) · God’s Word as the tool that purifies the heart and reshapes the inner life (Hebrews 4:12; John 15:3; 1 Peter 1:22) · Asking God to fulfill His promises and preserve your life in righteousness (Psalm 119:38–40; John 15:7–8) · Living with a heart that produces good fruit and brings glory to God If this teaching encouraged you, share your thoughts in the comments. The Beauty of Psalm 119 Pt 3

Welcome to Zoe Life Ministries International. In this third teaching in our series, “The Beauty of Psalm 119,” Dr. Randy Bell, Apostle of Zoe Life Ministries International, walks through Psalm 119:17–24 (Gimel), the third section of this powerful chapter. This passage speaks to the believer who is trying to live right, but still faces opposition. The psalmist asks God for help, for clarity, and for protection as he deals with scorn, contempt, and slander from people in high places. This teaching is a reminder that salvation does not remove warfare, and that following God sometimes brings resistance. The key is learning how to stand firm, draw strength from God, and keep moving forward without compromising. Key themes covered: · “Be good to your servant”: asking God for strength to endure and obey (Psalm 119:17) · “Open my eyes”: why spiritual understanding requires the Holy Spirit and God’s illumination (Psalm 119:18; John 14:26; John 16:13) · Living as “strangers on earth”: why obedience can make you feel out of place in the world system (Psalm 119:19–20; Hebrews 11:13) · God rebukes arrogance: consequences of pride and the seriousness of straying from God’s commands (Psalm 119:21) · Asking for deliverance from scorn, contempt, and slander, and why God defends the faithful (Psalm 119:22–24) · A practical mindset for spiritual warfare: don’t run from difficulty, learn to run through it with God’s strength · God as deliverer and sustainer, even through seasons of pressure (Psalm 50:15; 2 Timothy 4:18; Isaiah 46:4) If this teaching encouraged you, share your thoughts in the comments. The Beauty of Psalm 119 Pt 2

Welcome to Zoe Life Ministries International. In this Bible study, Dr. Randy Bell, Sr. continues our series, “The Beauty of Psalm 119,” with Psalm 119:9–16 (Beth). This section focuses on a powerful question: How can a young person stay on the path of purity? The psalmist answers it clearly: by living according to God’s Word, seeking Him with a whole heart, and refusing to neglect what God has spoken. In this teaching, you’ll hear practical, step-by-step instruction on how God’s Word cleanses us, stabilizes us, and guards us from sin. Dr. Bell also explains the difference between memorizing Scripture and meditating on it, and why God’s truth must become personal, not just something we keep nearby. Key themes covered: · Purity and spiritual strength through God’s Word (Psalm 119:9–11) · Seeking God wholeheartedly and avoiding a divided heart · “Hidden Word” living: storing Scripture in the heart as protection against sin · The Word of God as truth that sanctifies and cleanses (John 17:17) · Memorization and meditation, and why meditation leads to wisdom and success (Joshua 1:8) · Praising God and asking the Holy Spirit to teach us truth (John 14:26, John 16:13) · Commitment to speak the Word, rejoice in it, and never neglect it (Psalm 119:13–16) If this message helped you, share your thoughts in the comments.
