The Tale of the Watcher's Woods

This week it's Dave's turn to tell the 9:30 Society abouty the third episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Watcher's Woods. We've already been introduced two one new member of the Midnight Society but tonight Betty Anne reveals her new candidate, Sam, or as we like to call her Cheyenne from Reba. Sam tells a pretty familiar story to the Midnight Society: two girls, one nice, one not-so-nice. The girls, abandoned by their parents at summer camp will have to get over their differences if they intend to survive the curse of the woods when the not-so-nice girl falls into a trap set by three ghosts stuck in an endless forest presided over by a terrible spirit. The Tale of Apartment 214

This week it's Mikie's turn to tell The 9:30 Society about the second episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of Apartment 214. In this episode, Kiki comes up with yet another story about a broken home and a new kid in the neighborhood. We're starting to notice a pattern here that suggests a lot about her own life. In this one, Stacey (whose mom has got it going on) moves into an apartment down the hall from a mysterious room where it is revealed that an old woman lives. The two become friends but the truth of Mrs. Kegels is revealed when Stacey blows her off to go to a battle of the bands and it's up to Stacey to figure out how to chill out this angry ghost. The Tale of the Midnight Ride

This week Aileen kicks off the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark with the first episode, The Tale of the Midnight Ride. There's a major shake up at the Midnight Society as we lose both Kristen and David but we gain a new friend when Gary initiates his little brother Tucker. To commemorate the occasion, Tucker tells a terribly familiar tale. If you've ever read or seen the Disney animated short, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow then this episode you're going to easily pick up the similarities.
