Day 6 of Creation | God made me!

It’s Finally Friday! 🎉 This week we’ve discovered how God built the world step by step — light, sky, land, stars, fish, birds, animals… and then people. In today’s episode, we learn something super important: God made creation for us to enjoy — but He made us to know Him. From sunshine and laughter to friendship and rest, the Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:17 that God “richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.” That means joy isn’t an accident — it’s part of God’s design! But every good gift points back to the Giver. So this weekend, enjoy something beautiful… and say thank you to the One who made it. Because the best part of creation is being in relationship with God. 👨👩👧 Parents’ Note This episode helps children develop a healthy theology of joy. We explore how enjoyment of creation is good and God-designed (1 Timothy 6:17), while also clarifying that our ultimate purpose is relationship with God. The aim is to: Affirm joy and gratitude Prevent guilt around enjoyment Keep God at the centre as the Giver Reinforce that children are made in His image for relationship A simple follow-up question you could ask this weekend: “What’s something you enjoyed today — and how can we thank God for it?”

Day 5 of Creation | God is wildly creative!

Today on Full Throttle Thursday, we discover just how wildly creative God really is! We take a fast journey through the days of creation, zoom in on Day 5, and explore how God filled the oceans with fish and the skies with birds — big, tiny, fast, flappy, weird, and wonderful. We learn that all of creation is God’s artwork, showing us how much He loves colour, movement, sound, and amazing abilities. From a super-seeing mantis shrimp to a sound-copying lyrebird, today’s episode proves that God didn’t do boring — He went all out! And here’s the best part:The same creative God who made the world made you too. So grab your imagination, get creative, and remember — God made you creative on purpose. Parents... Today’s episode focuses on helping children understand God as Creator and Artist, using Psalm 104:24 (NLT) to highlight the variety, wisdom, and joy in creation. Through engaging examples from nature, kids are encouraged to see creativity as a God-given gift and a way to reflect who He is. This episode reinforces: Wonder and gratitude for creation Confidence in children’s own creativity and individuality A healthy theology that connects being made in God’s image with imagination, expression, and purpose A simple at-home follow-up could be inviting your child to create something (draw, build, sing, invent) and talk about what it says about who they are — and who God is.

Day 4 of Creation | God didn't quit!

On the fourth day of creation, God didn’t stop. He kept on going. God made the sun to shine during the day, the moon to glow at night, and the stars to light up the sky. God didn’t quit halfway. He finished what He started. In this episode, we’ll learn that just like God kept going, we can keep going too — even when things feel hard or take time. If God didn’t give up, neither should we! Episode 8, “God Kept Going,” focuses on Day 4 of Creation, when God created the sun, moon, and stars. This episode highlights God’s faithfulness and perseverance—showing children that God didn’t rush creation or stop when it became complex. Instead, He continued His good work with purpose and intention. Parents... Children are encouraged to reflect on the idea that perseverance matters: when something feels challenging, tiring, or slow, they can remember that God kept going—and He helps us do the same. The episode gently reinforces resilience, patience, and trust in God’s ongoing work in their lives.

Day 3 of Creation | God Makes Room to Grow!

www.LaunchKids.com.au (www.LaunchKids.com.au) On Day 3 of Creation, God made dry land, seas, and plants that could grow! God didn’t just make things to stay the same - He made them to grow bigger, stronger, and healthier over time. In this episode, we’ll chat about how plants don’t grow overnight, and neither do we. Sometimes growing feels exciting, and sometimes it feels slow or tricky - but God is always working, even when we can’t see it yet. You’ll be encouraged to think about how you are growing too - not just taller, but kinder, braver, and wiser. And you’ll discover that slow growth still counts when God is involved! Get ready to learn why God loves growth - and why He’s not finished with you yet. Parent Overview... This episode explores Day 3 of Creation (Genesis 1:9–13), focusing on God’s design for growth and development. Through age-appropriate storytelling and reflection, children are invited to understand that growth - physical, emotional, and spiritual - takes time and care. The episode gently reinforces that progress doesn’t need to be rushed and that God is always at work, even when changes aren’t immediately visible. This is a helpful conversation starter for families around: patience and perseverance recognising personal growth over time trusting God’s process in seasons of slow or unseen change A great episode for encouraging children who feel frustrated when things don’t happen quickly - at school, with friendships, or in their faith.

Episode 1 - Let there be light!

www.LaunchKids.com.au (www.launchkids.com.au) Episode 1: Let There Be Light Welcome to the very first episode of the Launch Kids Podcast. Today is a big day. For many kids, it is the first day back at school. New classrooms, new teachers, new routines, and maybe even some nervous feelings mixed in with the excitement. Before the day begins, we want to remind every child listening of one powerful truth. God was already there before the day even started. In this episode, we explore the moment when God first spoke light into the darkness. From Genesis 1 we discover that light was not just the beginning of creation, but the beginning of clarity, safety, and hope. God did not start with rules or instructions. He started with light. We also look at how Jesus shows us exactly what God is like. Just as light helps us see clearly, Jesus helps us understand who God is and how He loves us. When we follow Jesus, we learn how to live with kindness, courage, and purpose. Kids are challenged to become secret agents of God’s goodness today at school. That means noticing when someone needs help, choosing kindness, standing up for others, and bringing light into places that feel a bit dark or lonely. Even small actions can make a big difference. Along the way, we share a fun fact about light that will get curious minds thinking about God’s amazing world. We also talk about how to notice God’s creation throughout the day and how reading God’s Word helps us see Him more clearly. There are no birthdays to celebrate today, but we remind new listeners to register their birthday at launchkids.com.au so they can receive a shout out on their special day. We finish with a short, encouraging prayer to help kids feel confident, calm, and ready for the day ahead. Then we introduce today’s Launch Kids song, the Six Seven Song, to help kids sing, move, and remember that God made the world and God made me. This episode is perfect for morning routines, breakfast time, car rides, classrooms, and families who want to start the day focused on faith, joy, and purpose. Have an amazing first day back. God is with you, and His light goes with you wherever you go.
