Laurie and Phil talk movies, Netflix, YouTube and gaming with special guests and sketches + read out your emails and Tweets each week. Formerly the Super Bailey Bros, we've finally figured out a way to get a new show into your earholes!
16. Luca, Friends: The Reunion, The Flight Attendant, Riviera & Peppa Pig
It's a bit of a NowTV / HBO special this week as Phil & Laurie both jumped on a cheap deal to watch Friends: The Reunion (featuring a shocking surprise neither of them anticipated) and went hunting for more: both watched Kaley Cuoco murder thriller/mystery/comedy/drama The Flight Attendant (not kidding about those genres!) while Laurie took a shot at Intelligence with David Schwimmer & Nick Mohammed and Riviera starring Julia Stiles. For good measure, Phil kept things current and watched Pixar's latest (and surprisingly non-premium) feature, Italy-based coming of age sea monster comedy Luca. Laurie also has something that could forever change your experience of Peppa Pig audiobooks... Get your thoughts in to flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter!

15. Loki, Raya & The Last Dragon, Siberia & Phil's Internet Rabbithole
Two mystery reveals on today's show + Phil keeps things current with his take on new Disney Plus series Loki, putting Tom Hiddleston (and Owen Wilson??) back in the spotlight, and premium Plus piece Raya and the Last Dragon, an original IP starring Kelly Marie Tran of Star Wars: The Last Jedi fame. Laurie has a fascinatingly innovative obscure crime/thriller series to recommend and a Keanu Reeves-starring romance/drama to avoid called Siberia, while Phil finally lifts the lid on the internet rabbit hole he's been stuck in for weeks. Send your thoughts, opinions & recommendations on all of this to flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter!

14. New Movies: Quiet Place II, Bond, Black Widow + Bo Burnham's 'Inside' & Misaeng
"The cinemas are coming, the cinemas are coming!!" - As lockdown life eases up in the UK Laurie & Phil take a look at the huge spread of blockbusters on-screen & coming up, including A Quiet Place II, Black Widow, Dune, Cruella, No Time to Die, Space Jam, Top Gun, The Suicide Squad... too many to mention! Phil also 'experienced' Bo Burnham's critically & internet-ly praised stand-up special 'Inside'; is it funny or something else? While Laurie finally gushes over unique K-Drama 'Misaeng', which he claims is the best office-based show he's ever seen. And we dissect an email with opinions & suggestions right up front - send yours in too! flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm. Happy half-term UK people!

13. Defending Jacob, Zig & Sharko, Ruby Sparks, Serenity, Jurassic Park The Lost World & Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
This week L&P play catch up with Phil returning to Apple TV & Chris Evans' family crime drama Defending Jacob + finally getting Laurie's thoughts on bearable kids' TV shows including minimalistically magical Zig & Sharko. Meanwhile in a mini movie roundup, Laurie covers cult sci-fi favourite (but perhaps not for much longer?) Serenity by writer/director Joss Whedon & dips into the late 90s with poor follow-up Jurassic Park: The Lost World; Phil comes back at him with Paul Dano & Zoe Kazan philosophical romcom Ruby Sparks and quiet, controversial John le Carre spy thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy featuring an older than usual Gary Oldman. We also catch up with some of your emails - in particular one coming back at us with our opinions on Netflix fantasy adventure Shadow & Bone. Get your thoughts in too! flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter.

12. Shadow & Bone, McConaughey Audiobook, Rocketman vs Bohemian Rhapsody, Medici & Futureman
Is there anything that wouldn't sound better in Matthew McConaughey's voice? Phil's been enjoying his audiobook Green Lights - for a few specific reasons - while Laurie's just finished watching recent Netflix fantasy spectacular Shadow & Bone, based on Leigh Bardugo's popular series. Phil also has a problem with Bohemian Rhapsody & Rocketman - and the modern rock biopic in general - while Laurie tries to get a handle on his feelings towards funeral & eulogy scenes on TV & film. He also ditched Medici & Futureman early - is that allowed? Get your thoughts in on flixandfilm@gmail.com and @flixandfilm!

11. Love & Monsters, Ted Lasso, Escape from Pretoria, Boys Sate & End Credits Music Round 2
It's Apple TV vs. the world this week. Laurie saw hyped Netflix SFX comedy adventure Love & Monsters with Dylan O'Brien, and Daniel Radcliffe in apartheid prison thriller Escape from Pretoria, while Phil binged all of Jason Sudeikis' heartwarming sports comedy series Ted Lasso & got captivated by bizarre politics vs. Lord of the Flies docudrama Boys State. Can Apple play with the big boys? You decide! Laurie also challenged Phil to sing the closing themes of many classic TV shows from memory in round 2 of their end credits quiz. Let us know how you do + send your thoughts on this week's films & shows! flixandfilm@gmail.com and @flixandfilm on Twitter.
Oscars 2021 had the lowest audience ever (according to current estimates) - with good reason? Laurie & Phil review this year's contenders, winners & ceremony. They also talk Marvel & the modern age of screenwriting by way of The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, try to figure out their feelings on Andy Samberg + Cristin Milioti comedy/romance/drama/sci-fi Palm Springs, get mystified by Bruce Willis & Netflix teaming up for 'space horror') Anti-Life (aka Breach overseas) and grapple with Amazon reviews. Send your thoughts on this year's Oscar winners and anything else in to flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter!

9. "That whistle, though" - Onward, Giri Haji, Line of Duty & End Credits Music Quiz
Phil has a quiz up his sleeve this week, testing Laurie on some of his favourite mismatched end credits music, while Laurie tries to find his way through Joe Barton's bizarre Netflix crime drama Giri / Haji (aka Duty / Shame). Phil also went back to check out Pixar's Onwards with Tom Holland & Chris Pratt after being unimpressed by the trailer; did the film surprise him? And he has a problem with the new season of Jed Mercurio's Line of Duty (+ maybe British shows in general...) - get your thoughts in on flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter and we'll read them out next week!

8. "New Episodely" - Trial of the Chicago 7, F1 Drive to Survive, Goldeneye, Star Wars Must Scene & App Names
A full sweep of emotions this week! Rage to joy & everything inbetween. Phil watched Aaron Sorkin's Oscar contender The Trial of the Chicago 7 again to make sure he's understood the fuss, and was swept off his feet by the new angles on F1 in Formula 1: Drive to Survive. Laurie is stuck in the past with his new GoldenEye blu-ray + its Martin Campbell director featurette, alongside a 'Must Scene' from Star Wars IV: A New Hope - he reckons he's identified a brilliant scene no one has yet talked about in a nauseatingly over-the-top way. And there's unadulterated fury directed towards a certain naming convention for new apps & software services right at the end. Keep your emails & tweets coming to @flixandfilm and flixandfilm@gmail.com!

7. "The Speed of Emotion" - Dark, Lupin, Infernal Affairs vs The Departed & Audiobooks on 1.5x Speed
Laurie & Phil may have made an accidental psychological discovery this week! They also both watched hit German Netflix scifi/time travel series Dark, and put Infernal Affairs and The Departed in the movie ring to see which crime thriller emerges victorious. Laurie offers his thoughts on classy French heist drama Lupin with Omar Sy, while Phil debates the benefits and drawbacks of listening to audiobooks on 1.5 speed. Plus this week we start getting into your emails and tweets! Thanks for sending them in - keep your opinions & ideas coming to flixandfilm@gmai.com and @flixandfilm on Twitter.

6. Romcom Revival Time? Mandalorian Season 2, Always Be My Maybe, Hades & Movie Military Tactics
Laurie & Phil look back to The Mandalorian Season 2 & try to figure out whether it's just a good show, the start of a new era, or a herald of cynicism! What's your take? Phil also throws in mid-budget romcom Always Be My Maybe, starring Ali Wong & Randall Park, alongside smash hit indie game Hades - while Laurie is confused about a specific military tactic he thinks can only be found in movies. If you happen to be a tactical mastermind, we need to hear from you... Send your thoughts & recommendations to flixandfilm@gmail.com (mailto:flixandfilm@gmail.com) or @flixandfilm on Twitter!

5. Are the 80s over (again)? Wonder Woman 1984, Altered Carbon, Away & New Star Wars
Has Hollywood finally squeezed the last drops of nostalgia from the decade of big shoulders & shoes? Phil talks Laurie through Wonder Woman 1984 from Patty Jenkins with Gal Gadot & Chris Pine, while Laurie almost recommends two space-based Netflix shows, Altered Carbon (Series 1 & 2) with Joel Kinnaman and the Hilary Swank-starring Away. Along the way they get nervous about the mysteriously large slate of upcoming new Star Wars projects from Disney, and Phil gets his home-hair-cutting anxieties off his chest. Send your thoughts & opinions on all this stuff to flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter!

4. Can you #Whatsrapp? Taskmaster, Google Stadia, Hollow Knight & Rocket League
We're going to make it the next TikTok craze - can you Whatsrapp? Test yourself about 20 mins in to the show. Phil persuades Laurie to give Greg Davies a pass & enjoy competing comedians on Channel 4's Taskmaster, and also sings the praises of 'Metroidvania' indie game Hollow Knight. Laurie talks the end of 1st party games for Google's potentially ill-fated Stadia, and throws love/hate masterpiece Rocket League into the hat for his game recommendation. And we both introduce Whatsrapp to the world. But is the world ready for it. Send your thoughts, opinions & tips for us to check out to flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter!

3. Grey's Anatomy's anime secret, Mandalorian Series 1, Bridgerton & Dinosaur King
The Mandalorian Season 1 is this week's deep-dive - is it really the Star Wars saviour or a load of old hype? Laurie was surprised by early 2000s TV relic & Pokemon copy Dinosaur King, while Phil tested the water with Shonda Rhimes' new 'period drama' Bridgerton on Netflix. And in true internet article style he also asks a big question - is Grey's Anatomy actually an anime series in live-action disguise? Send us your emails & tweets with all your thoughts and opinions! flixandfilm@gmail.com and @flixandfilm on Twitter.

2. Is Kenneth Brannagh brilliant? Tenet, Wandavision, Games Done Quick & Food Blogs
It's the big question. Is Kenny B's Russian baddie brilliant or terrible? Phil and Laurie take a deep dive into Christopher Nolan's Tenet with John David Washington & Robert Pattinson. Phil tried to wrap his head around Wandavision, Disney's mysterious new entry into the Marvel universe. Is the 1950s sitcom just a smokescreen for a new superhero saga? He also recommends Games Done Quick to Laurie & defends speedrunning in general from the naysayers, while Laurie gets angry at food bloggers. Send in your thoughts & opinions to flixandfilm@gmail.com or @flixandfilm on Twitter & we'll read them out!

1. Is Pixar Past It? Soul, Joe Wicks (Special Guest) & Midnight Diner
Phil & Laurie return to host a brand new review show! Phil saw Pixar's Soul with Jamie Foxx & Tina Fey, and wonders whether Pixar's golden years are well and truly behind them. Laurie managed to bring special guest & fitness phenomenon Joe Wicks in to talk about his expanding health philosophy (...sort of) and also tries to persuade Phil to take a chance on Netflix's Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories, a fantastically understated slice-of-life show from Japan. Stay to the end for bonus bits and bloopers as always! And we want to hear your thoughts & opinions too - send them to flixandfilm@gmail.com or find us @flixandfilm on Twitter. We'll read them out on the show!
