<p>For many mothers (She/Her) the load of motherhood is so invisible because we function through them. The load is so invisible because we soldier on and make things happen. This was a wholesome room with many who joined the stage and shared. I am sure what is shared in this episode many will resonate with and even 'aha' to because we have normalised carrying and bearing the load that many can never even identify it as a load</p> <p>There is also a notion that parenthood or motherhood is supposed to be a bed of roses and it is not. It is hard work, it demands that we give uo so much and avail ourselves very often and it is simply not easy. It has its rewards but there is a lot of work that we need to invest in as mothers and parents as they grown up</p> <p>What i love about the whole journey is that it is a learning experience for both the children and the parents. And it is to remind ourselves to allow ourselves space and grace as we parent. </p> <p>There is more episodes coming as our rooms are 3.5hours long and I am excited for you to hear all the great stuff that has been shared within the Layers Within rooms on Clubhouse</p> <p><br></p>

<p><strong>Episode TWO of the series Loss & bereavement from the room held on the 12th July on Clubhouse. This is a continuation. Please listen to Episode 1 to make sense of this episode as the conversation in the room went on for a long time, there are FOUR episodes from that room alone</strong></p> <p>This one is a taboo topic and I am here to normalise the topic as a Bereavement Doula. </p> <p>In this episode we hear from Nicole whose baby died in Utero and her own advise from a mother's perspective. The turmoil, the trials, the grieving process and the strength that transpired in this room still had me tearing up both with sadness and grace as they were comfortable to let others hear their stories and shared on my platform too. <p>This is a poem for US all. Especially for the moments when nobody really gets us, when they all believe we are coping and don't need checking up, when they think we have got it together when all you need is to hear someone say 'I hear you, I get it, I am here for you'</p> <p>Special needs parenting is HARD. There are many challenges that come with it. Many objections, many decisions, moments where you choose to miss out because it is so tiring having to repeat yourself time and time again about 'what your child has' or what it means for you as a family. So I was very glad to bump into this poem because I think we need to validate the hardships of this way of parenting and send strength to each other from all corners of the world</p>
