You can lead a horse to water ... but that does not make the horse thirsty. It is up to each of us to quench our own thirst for knowledge. "Lead a Horse to Water" is a podcast on mentorship. Each podcast will feature someone working to make a difference with a desire to network. Listen in to people sharing the best advice they have received and given. We may not be able to make everyone "drink up some knowledge" but we can entertain you and maybe even make you a bit thirsty.
This week I had the opportunity to connect with a leader in the Arts … a leader in baseball … an innovator … in a word, multitalented. Rather than a lengthy introduction, just ‘Google’ the name, Nate Fish (this week’s guest). And if you are not in the mood to search on your own, here is a head start: www.kingofjewishbaseball.com (http://www.kingofjewishbaseball.com/).
The conversation runs the gamut of topics and I am thrilled to add a howardism from our discussion. “The person in front of me is my mentor.”
On a side note, I don’t promote any item I cannot fully endorse. Nate Fish and his team have developed an
application I feel is a great fit for a lot of folks. Many of us are parents (that includes fur-babies) and are looking for a safe and secure way to pass on the legacy of pictures and stories. The FootPrint Family app is exactly that, a
digital safe for your pictures, ideas, and more. The Footprint Family App is available on Google Play and The App Store. You can also head over to www.FootprintFamily.app (http://www.FootprintFamily.app).
But for right now – take a moment to learn with Nate Fish.

Lead a Horse to Water - Episode 21 - Becky Arkfeld
This week “Lead a Horse to Water” welcomes a local leader who I would call young. And as young as she is, I have known her for nearly 25 years. And now she is on the podcast ready to help me learn and boy oh boy did she bring “A” game. My new favorite "howardism" should actually be called a “beckyism" as today’s guest, Becky Arkfeld,shared, “The world was spinning faster than before.”
I asked if she would share a few of the websites for organizations she referred to in the podcast. She shared:
* www.Fit4Mom.com (this site gives location info for all over the US)
* www.Whiarizona.org (Women’s Health Innovations is where I work)
* www.Postpartum.net (Postpartum Support International, which is a great resource for postpartum moms and families)
Use them, share them and thank you Becky for
increasing our awareness of these fine organizations.

Lead a Horse to Water - Episode 20 - Spiral Day #3
On this episode of "Lead a Horse to Water" we spend some time reviewing our previous six guests and connect what they shared. We like to call it "Spiral Day" when we spiral our learning. This means we review what we have learned in order to deepen our learning. And when you get to the end of the podcast, stick around because the bonus this week is a performance by Driftwood Quintet. They are performing, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". (www.driftwoodquintet.com)
