<p>Each season series examines responses to domestic violence in Winnebago County <br> Illinois, through the eyes of the host, Laura Youngblut. <br><br>Season 1 provides listeners with an overview of the response to intimate partner domestic violence in Winnebago County. Each episode highlights a person, describes their role, and provides perspectives on domestic violence. Through these first-hand accounts, listeners will gain insight into common questions and assumptions about the criminal justice system. <br><br>Season 2 provides listeners with insight into the workings of the Juvenile Court System, both Juvenile Abuse and Neglect Court and Juvenile Deliquency Court. Listeners will learn with Laura as she unpacks the intersection between domestic violence and juvenile court, including the impact of trauma on children. <br><br>This project was supported by Grant No. 2017-TA-AX-K004 awarded by the Office on Violence Against Women, US Department of Justice.
