Do you remember the “kid’s table” when at family holidays or dinners? I do and that is right where I feel I am at, still, in my walk with God. Some look at it as being “ankle deep” in our walk. Either way, I am at a point where I am tired of being in this state. Every Monday at 6 am I will release short episodes where I am going to share what stood out to me in my time with God. At the end of the day it comes down to where scripture meets your story. You may be in the same spot as I am or you are sitting at the adult table or may need to join the kids table. Either option is ok, these episodes are to start the conversation as to “what stands out to you?” and not only grow myself but help others grow as well. "Here's the thing - leaving the kid's table isn't a one-time decision. It's a daily choice. And every day you choose to go deeper, I'll be right here with you."

Egypt saw Moses as a murderer and a shepherd, the lowest of the low. Then God asked him to set a nation free. In Exodus 3, Moses asks the question so many of us ask when God calls: who am I? God's answer isn't what you'd expect.

Have you ever felt forgotten or all alone? Moses was raised in Pharaoh's house, ended up a runaway at a well in Midian, and the Israelites were still slaves in the place they were born. In Exodus 2 we follow Moses through all of it, then land on three verses that raise a real question. What made God remember? Chad works through it honestly and says what he believes Scripture says to anyone who feels unheard.

Episode Description:
Genesis is over, but the covenant isn't. In Exodus 1, a new generation of Israelites faces an old promise in a new form affliction, growth in spite of it, and two midwives who feared God more than they feared a king. This episode sits inside the tension of not knowing why hard seasons happen, and asks whether that not knowing is where we're being shaped for what's next.
In This Episode:
The covenant didn't end when Joseph's generation died God kept building the nation
The more Egypt afflicted Israel, the more they multiplied (v.12)
Two midwives refused a direct order to kill Hebrew baby boys
Their reward was tied to their fear of God, not to anything else in the story
Chapter 1 gives no reason for the hardship, only that it doesn't have the final word
