Legacies of Life was created to help families of organ donors in Central and South Texas learn valuable tools to better cope with grief after the death of their loved one.
We'll speak with bereavement experts about how we can help one another cope, and we'll also share stories and experiences from those impacted by the greatest gift of all, the Gift of Life.
Legacies of Life is a production of Texas Organ Sharing Alliance's Donor Family Services Department. TOSA is a San Antonio-based organization dedicated to helping individuals and families save lives through the power of organ donation.

Using Art to Heal
This month, we’re exploring how art can help us heal through grief, sharing simple ways to express and process loss. Our guest is San Antonio artist Janie Villarreal McClinchie, whose previous work with TOSA highlights the life-saving impact of organ donation. Inspired by her relative, Krizia Keiser, who saved three lives as a registered donor, this conversation honors legacy and healing through creativity.

Transplant Games of America: Honoring Donors for the Gift of Life
We’re shining a light on the Transplant Games of America, apowerful national event that celebrates life, honors organ donors and uplifts the transplant community. We talk with Bill Ryan, the President and CEO of the Transplant Foundation, who is also a donor dad and the Vice President of Patient & Donor Affairs at Organ Procurement & Transplant Network,about the meaningful activities that recognize donors and their families, and how the Games create space for connection, healing and hope. The episode also features an interview with a transplant athlete who shares their journey and what it means to compete in the Transplant Games of America when they come to Denver, Colorado in June. Their story reflect the lasting impact of donation and the many ways a donor’s gift continues to be celebrated every day.
