Ghetti and Nix talks about his coaching career at Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Southern Miss. <p>This week on Legends, Bob talks with Starkville High Athletic Director and former Southern Miss football head coach Jay Hopson. </p><p>Southern Miss hired Hopson as its defensive backs coach in 2001. Hopson coached after the great Tyrone Nix, who was elevated to defensive coordinator. Hopson served as defensive coordinator 2005-2007. </p><p>He returned to Southern Miss in 2016 as head coach and was tenured to the 2020 season.
