Episode 88: Top 10 Capcom Games
We'll be taking an extended break from new episodes and we wanted our last to be a special one. Capcom has been one of the best publishers/developers for almost four decades and they've created some of the most iconic and timeless games. This week, Deucy and I share our favorites and countdown our Top 10 Capcom Games. I cover a little bit of Capcom's history and formation before we get to our honorable mentions and our individual Top 10's. Don't forget to send us YOUR favorite Capcom games! Episode 87: Indiana Jones
Vito, @8bitbarrister, joins me this week in his long requested episode to revisit the movies and games of Indiana Jones! Indy’s first adventure in gaming was way back in 1982 with Raiders of the Lost Ark on the Atari 2600 and we’re uncovering the history and chronicling some of his greatest, and in a lost of cases, worst journeys. An archaeological aural tour wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t talk about the films either, so we dive into the history of the series and revisit most of the games tried to adapt those stories. We cover most of the games across each generation including 2024’s truly incredible Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by the immensely talented team at MachineGames. Episode 86: Duke Nukem 3D
Come get some! This week we're hailing to the king and uncovering the history and impact of 1996's Duke Nukem 3D. Duke originally started with a couple of side-scrolling platform shooters and once Apogee saw DOOM in 1993, they realized it was time to bring him into the world of 3D. From there, they renamed themselves 3D Realms and eventually released one of the earliest examples of an immersive first-person shooter based on familiar real world locations. We'll also talk about how Duke's signature personality came to be and how it's just as important to the game as its interactive and expansive levels. 0:00 - 27:00: Catch up and what we've been playing 27:28: Duke Nukem 3D Email us: LegionGamingPod@gmail.com Instagram: LegionGamingPodcast
