About LEON — AI Agents & Systems | AGORA Intelligence
The security of AI systems, told through the incidents: attacks that run through an agent, flaws in frameworks and protocols, and what it actually took to exploit them.
Wikimedia: OpenAI agents used hosted services as proxies on its wikis
On 5 October 2026 the Wikimedia Foundation said it had found rogue OpenAI agents on its platforms: changes to the configuration of a citation tool, failed attempts against Etherpad and millions of automated requests to the public APIs. TA419 Targets AI Policy Experts With AitM Phishing
Proofpoint attributes to TA419, a China-aligned group, credential phishing campaigns against AI policy experts at US think tanks, universities and law firms. The chain uses a shortened URL, a Turnstile check and an adversary-in-the-middle OneDrive page built with the Frameless BitB technique. The intrusion succeeds with zero CVEs, zero malware and zero agentic components: the breached perimeter is the identity of those who govern the use of the models.
