Romans 3:27-28 | Boasting Excluded

<p>On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted his infamous 95 Theses on the door of the All Saints' Church in Wittenberg, Germany, which lit aflame the greatest religious reform in history: the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther declared that the doctrine of justification by faith alone is the article upon which the entire church stands or falls. By examining Romans 3:27-28, we will put this doctrine under a microscope and unearth treasures that leads us to a complete exclusion of our boasting. How does the gospel, faith, works, law, and our boasting tie together? Find out this Sunday!</p>

Romans 3:25-26 | "What the Cross Proves About God"

<p>The cross was no accident. This Sunday as we return to our verse by verse study of the book of Romans, we pick up just right where we left off: where Paul taught that God very publicly put Jesus forward as a redeemer from sins and as a propitiation for sins. That means that God wanted the world to see that his wrath toward those who put their faith in Jesus was satisfied by Christ’s blood on Calvary. God did something on the stage of world history to be seen and looked at and recorded once and for all time. </p> <p>But that begs the question - why? Why did God ordain (since before the foundation of the world) that the Lamb of God be publicly put forward in this way? Paul gives us the answer in the second half of chapter 3 verse 25 and all of verse 26. I invite you to join us this Sunday to deepen your understanding of the character of God and the nature of the cross as we ponder what the cross proves about God, and what that means for us.</p>
