The Walk That Turned Grief Into Hope | Barry Adkins, Author S6 EPS26
This week I welcome Barry Adkins, a speaker and advocate whose heartbreaking story has become a life-saving message for hundreds of thousands across the country.
After losing his 18-year-old son Kevin to alcohol poisoning on what should have been the beginning of his adult life, Barry made it his mission to educate others about the dangers of binge drinking and the devastating consequences that can come from just one night of bad choices.
In 2007, carrying Kevin’s ashes in his backpack, Barry began an extraordinary 1,400-mile walk from Arizona to Montana — sharing his son’s story in schools, churches, treatment centers, and communities along the way.
Today, Barry joins us to talk about that life-changing knock on the door, the journey that followed, and how he turned grief into purpose, hope, and a powerful mission to help others.

She Was Told She Might Die in 10 Days | Robin Luftig's Inspiring Story S6 EPS24
This week on Let Fear Bounce Podcast, I’m honored to welcome Robin Luftig, whose story is one of unimaginable challenge, deep faith, and remarkable resilience.
What do you do when you are told you have 10 days?
In the spring of 2011, Robin’s life was full of promise when everything changed in an instant. After suffering a seizure, she was rushed into a medical crisis that left her paralyzed on one side and unable to speak. Doctors delivered devastating news, telling her she may have only days to live.
But Robin’s journey didn’t end there. Through fear, uncertainty, surgery, and the long road of recovery, she discovered strength she never knew she had—and a faith that carried her through the darkest valley.
Today, Robin shares a powerful story of redemption, healing, and triumph over brokenness. This is a conversation about trusting through the storm, facing fears beyond imagination, and learning that hope can still rise in life’s hardest moments.

[…] And it all started with colorful sketches about what makes us unique. each person had to sort of journey map their whole existence and then distill that into sort of a unique thought and for for me i sort of came to the conclusion that my essence is i would aspire to be mary poppins like in a perfect day if i could reach into a very small bag and pull out absolutely anything to make your day better whether it's you know a six foot long sub for your entire office to feed on you know or the right bicycle wrench so you can lower your seat you know random things like the perfect safety pin to hold your dress in place like all these sorts of things like that makes me very happy and that sort of took me down the path of how one of my special gifts is staying connected and leaning into deeper connections with people and how I genuinely have this sense that sort of behind every person is a gift, you know, a gift for themselves, a gift to the world, but also a gift to me.
