About Let's Share!

The Let's Share podcasts model sharing of friendship, evidence of God's work in our lives, and the passions and organizations the guests have for sharing. The discussions of the sharing include perspectives among individuals and organizations, especially but not exclusively nonprofits with a Christian worldview. Guests on the podcast discuss their connection with the host and their passion to serve. HANA Ministry encourages free events and programs, information, items, and employment shared in communities on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. HANA's core values are based on scripture including Acts 4:32 - "All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had." Podcast host and HANA President and Founder Dr. Leigh Byers has served in church ministry and faith-based nonprofit leadership positions since 2003 and is also currently an adjunct professor for a Christian university and a business consultant.    Sharing is the Resilience of Ocala What does it look like when a simple act of sharing grows into something that strengthens an entire community? In this episode of Let’s Share, Leigh Byers talks with Esmee Bancroft, founder of Ocala Clothing Swap and Resilient Ocala, Inc. What began as a free clothing boutique has grown into a broader vision for helping people move from isolation toward community, belonging, resilience, and greater independence. Esmee shares how Ocala Clothing Swap makes donated clothing available to neighbors completely free of charge—without income requirements or identification—while also helping reduce textile waste. The conversation explores how something as practical as sharing clothing can restore confidence, meet immediate needs, and create relationships that lead people from receiving to giving, volunteering, and supporting others. The conversation then expands into the developing mission of Resilient Ocala and its peer-support clubhouse and resource center. Esmee discusses creating a place where people experiencing disabilities, hardships, isolation, or major life transitions can find structure, relationships, wellness activities, life skills, vocational opportunities, shared meals, and wraparound support. Although this story is rooted in Ocala, Florida, its message extends far beyond one community.    Link Together and Share! What can happen when churches, nonprofits, businesses, volunteers, and individuals link together to serve their community? In this episode of Let's Share, Leigh Byers welcomes Wanda Keegan, Director of Community Engagement for Love in the Name of Christ of the Heart of Florida (Love INC). Wanda shares how Love INC brings churches and people together to respond to real needs while helping individuals and families move toward greater stability, dignity, and hope. The conversation goes beyond simply giving something to someone in need. Leigh and Wanda explore the importance of thoughtful benevolence—walking alongside people, building relationships, identifying underlying needs, and creating opportunities for long-term transformation. Wanda shares how Love INC Heart of Florida's Connection Center works with local churches to connect people with resources; how the Journey program brings participants, volunteers, and churches together; and how programs such as Work Life help people develop skills and prepare for meaningful employment. The ministry also provides practical assistance, including furniture and household necessities, while creating pathways for people to become stronger and more self-sufficient.
