Welcoming the Stranger: Practicing Radical Hospitality with Mary Fontana
In this episode, we sit down with author Mary Fontana to discuss Strangers in the Province of Joy (https://bookshop.org/p/books/strangers-in-the-province-of-joy-practicing-radical-hospitality-on-the-us-mexico-border-mary-fontana/6b7cc69d25e54d72?ean=9781626986558&bkshp-astro=t) and the story of Annunciation House—a home established to welcome strangers that grew into a ministry serving migrants, refugees, and others on the margins. We explore the question, "Where do we find God?"—and what it means to encounter God among the marginalized and oppressed. We also reflect on the practice of radical hospitality: a willingness to show up, to live in relationship, in defiance of the tendency or inclination to “other” those who are different from us.

Faith, Migration, and the Theology of Accompaniment
Tune in to this special podcast episode as we sit down with Daniel Montañez, Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Public Theology and Migration to unpack the complex realities of migration not just as a political talking point, but as a deeply human, global movement. Together, we explore what it looks like to align our public policy with our faith, grounding our perspective in the truth that the Bible itself is a story of migration. This discussion explores how to embrace a "theology of accompaniment" shaped by undocumented Latino Pentecostal pastors, tangible ways to transition churches from mere conversation to redemptive local action, and ways you can partner with the Center for Public Theology and Migration (https://www.theologyandmigration.com/) for ongoing education and advocacy.
If you’ve been wondering how your faith can actively respond to global displacement and bring redemptive action to your own neighborhood, this conversation is for you.
