Welcome to Let’s Circle Back with Becs.
We're the podcast for your drive home. 🚗
We’re talking real life here. Building something new, chasing ideas, relationships, faith, entrepreneurship, the millennial midlife crisis, and figuring things out as you go. It’s honest, sometimes messy, sometimes light, but always about growth and becoming who you’re meant to be.
If you’re into personal growth, thoughtful conversations, good questions, and moments that stick with you long after the episode ends, you'll feel right at home here.
New episodes weekly. Come hang. 🎙️🔗✨
Why are some people able to tell a story and have everyone hanging on every word… while the rest of us are three minutes in wondering if anyone is actually still listening?
Turns out, good storytelling is a skill.
Today on Let’s Circle Back with Becs, I’m joined by my friend Layne, one of the best storytellers I know, to break down the art of storytelling and what actually makes a story engaging, memorable, and worth listening to.
We’re talking about how to tell a better story, from creating a hook that makes people want to hear more, to drawing your audience in, creating characters they care about, and taking people on a journey instead of just… giving them the play-by-play.
So whether you want to become a better storyteller, communicator, speaker, or just want to be the person at the dinner table who can actually tell a good story… this episode is for you.
If you want to connect with Layne or learn more about their work, check out their website: layneofficial.com (https://layneofficial.com/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
And if this episode made you rethink the way you tell a story, leave your thoughts in the comments. We want to hear them!
Also… with these tips, my ability to share the plane story just got taken to the next level. You’ve all been warned. 🎙️

Whose Life Are You Living?
What if the life you’re working so hard to build isn’t actually the life you want?
This question has been living rent-free in my head for the past year.
My aunt asked me last year, “Whose life are you living?” and I haven’t been able to shake it. So I brought her onto the pod to unpack it with me.
We talk about figuring out what you actually want in life, the pressure to follow the “right” path, seeking validation, social media and comparison, and how much of what we want is shaped by the people and culture around us.
Because sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between chasing ambition and chasing validation.
The career. The relationship. The house. The lifestyle. The timeline.
What if you stopped asking, “Am I doing this right?” and started asking, “Do I actually want this?”
This one might have you questioning a few things. In the best way.

The Community Building Strategy We're Stealing from Jesus
I don't know... does this count as stealing? Or are we just borrowing the blueprint Jesus left us for how to approach everyone from our deepest friendships to our favourite acquaintances? (I've decided to go with the second option. 😌)
Travis joined me on the podcast as we unpacked the way Jesus modelled relationships and what that means for us today. We chat about everything from our inner circle and closest friends to our wider community and even the people we encounter in everyday life.
Leave your questions in the comments, and Trav will be back next season to help answer them!
Catch ya in season 3 friends! ✌🏽
