POV: you’re thirteen years old at your first retreat. This beautiful woman with perfect hair comes on stage. She shows you a picture of her gorgeous husband, and she starts telling you all about her story, their love story. You try to relate, but you have frizzy hair. You don’t look like her. You’ve never been asked out because you’re thirteen. Then you heard about being a woman of God, kind of. Fast forward, and all of a sudden you’re 25 and single and not sure what to do with that as a woman following Christ. Who am I? What am I supposed to be? Yea girl, us too. Let’s talk.
Our Parish Experience (basically a love letter to Saint Ambrose)
Let's talk about our experience at our Parish! We promise we know our Parishes are not perfect, and the Holy Spirit is always looking to bring about better community. But we want to share the positive things, the things that have changed our lives for the better, to communicate just how important Parish life is, especially for women in their 20s, but really for any human at any age.
We share the ways our lives have been changed by being part of a community like this. We are called to live a communal life, including worship, prayer, and simply living life together, in radical service of one another, and the natural place for that to happen is in the Parish. Let's talk about how that has happened for us!

What does the Church say Parish Life Should Be?
Let's talk about Parish Life, especially in your 20s. Let's talk about what Parishes should be, and what they could be if we all invested well. Let's talk about Canon Law and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (because Bri is a little bit of a nerd). We are going to talk a bit about what the Parish is, what it is supposed to be, and where our responsibility for this comes in.

Community Life Leads to Spiritual Growth
Let's talk about community life and its impact on our spiritual journey. This week, we reflect on Acts 2 and the two parts of community life that are essential: prayer and food -- because no good party is complete without either. We talk about the power of communal prayer and shared meals in building strong relationships that get us to Heaven. The way we engage in community matters and how we let it impact us will alter our relationship with God. If we enter into good community on earth, we are able to get a taste of what Heaven could look like with the Body of Christ.
