Because healing doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful 🌮🧠
Have you ever thought, “I know I’m still me, but I just don’t feel like myself anymore”?
In this episode of Let’s Taco ’Bout It, I’m getting honest about my own experience with pregnancy, exhaustion, burnout, changing relationships, and trying to balance work, family, responsibilities, and everything in between.
We’ll talk about why major life transitions can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, how shame keeps us stuck, and the small steps we can take to begin feeling present, joyful, and alive again.
Maybe the goal isn’t to get the “old you” back. Maybe it’s learning to give yourself grace while getting to know the person you’re becoming.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or like you’ve lost part of yourself, this episode is for you. You are more than what you accomplish—and you don’t have to wait until life is perfect to start finding yourself again.

“You Look Fine… But You’re Not”
Some people are struggling… and you would never know.
They’re still showing up.
Still going to work.
Still taking care of everyone else.
Still saying “I’m fine.”
But on the inside… they’re overwhelmed, tired, and not okay.
In this episode of Let’s Taco ‘Bout It, we’re talking about what it looks like to be struggling in silence, the kind of mental health struggles that don’t always get noticed because you’re still functioning.
This one is for the “strong ones.”
The ones who hold it all together… even when it’s heavy.
If that’s you, I hope this episode reminds you that you’re not alone and you don’t have to keep carrying it by yourself 🤍

Why Do I Feel Guilty for Resting?
Ever finally sit down to rest… and immediately feel like you should be doing something else?
In this episode of Let’s Taco Bout It , we’re talking about the guilt that shows up when we try to slow down and why rest can feel so uncomfortable, even when we desperately need it.
We dive into:
Why so many of us feel like we have to earn rest
How childhood, trauma, and “always being the responsible one” play a role
The impact of hustle culture and constant productivity
What’s actually happening in your nervous system when slowing down feels unsafe
The difference between rest and avoidance
Plus, I share simple, real-life tools to help you:
Let go of “earned rest” thinking
Start practicing micro-rest in your everyday life
Reframe the guilt when it shows up
Actually feel okay slowing down
If you’ve ever felt like resting = being lazy… this episode is for you.
You’re not broken. Your nervous system just learned to survive a certain way and we can work on shifting that.

Nacho Average Grief Talk
Welcome to a space where grief gets real… but we’re not afraid to laugh a little along the way. Because let’s be honest, grief is weird, messy, and unpredictable
This podcast is your place to cry, laugh, vent, and feel seen. We’re talking about the hard stuff- the kind people don’t always say out loud; while also finding moments of connection, humor, and healing in between.
Here, you don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to “move on.” You just have to show up as you are.
Because this isn’t your typical grief space…
This is nacho average grief talk 💛🌮
Pull up a chair, grab a taco (or tissues), and let’s taco ’bout it.

“Negative Thinking: When Your Brain Turns a Taco Into a Disaster”
Your brain can be dramatic sometimes.
In this episode of Let’s Taco ’Bout It, we dive into negative thinking patterns and cognitive distortions — the sneaky ways our brains twist reality and convince us things are way worse than they actually are.
We’ll taco ’bout common thinking traps like:
🌮 Catastrophizing – assuming the worst possible outcome
🌮 All-or-Nothing Thinking – seeing life as total success or total failure
🌮 Mind Reading – believing you know what everyone else thinks about you
🌮 Overgeneralizing – one bad moment turning into “my life always sucks”
If you've ever thought:
“Everyone probably thinks I'm stupid.”
“I messed up once so I'm terrible at this.”
“This one thing ruined everything.”
…your brain might just be serving you a distorted taco of thoughts.
In this episode, therapist Christinia breaks down why these patterns happen, how they affect anxiety and self-esteem, and simple ways to challenge them so your brain stops being such a drama queen.
Because sometimes your thoughts are facts…
and sometimes they’re just bad tacos.

What Therapy Doesn’t Fix
Therapy can be life-changing—but it isn’t a magic fix.
In this episode, I talk honestly about what therapy doesn’t do, and why that doesn’t mean it isn’t working. Therapy doesn’t erase pain, prevent triggers, fix other people, or make life easy. It doesn’t remove emotions or create a “finished” version of you.
What it does offer is awareness, tools, self-compassion, and choice, so you’re no longer living in survival mode or abandoning yourself when things get hard.
If you’ve ever wondered why you’re in therapy but still struggling, this episode is a reminder that healing isn’t about becoming someone new, it’s about learning how to stay with yourself through real life.
