What Do You Do With Opportunities?

What do you do when an opportunity knocks? Everyone gets opportunities in life, but not every opportunity is a good one, and not every opportunity is a bad one. The key isn't whether opportunity shows up. It's how you respond when it does. In this episode of Let's Talk About It, Pastor E gets honest about the opportunities that shaped his own life, from painful decisions that produced lasting consequences to the moment he chose to follow Christ and everything that changed afterward. Drawing from his own failures, redemption, and marriage, he shares why every opportunity deserves more than a quick reaction. The hardest part isn't recognizing that an opportunity exists. It's having the wisdom to ask what that decision will produce tomorrow instead of focusing on how it feels today. Pastor E explains why so many people chase temporary satisfaction, how discernment protects your future, and why saying "no" can sometimes become the most powerful decision you'll ever make. If you've been standing at a crossroads, wondering which direction to take, this conversation is a reminder that every choice plants a seed. The question isn't whether opportunities will come. The question is which ones you'll answer. In This Episode: [00:28] Introduction [01:48] Discerning good and bad opportunities [03:13] Thinking long-term, not momentary [04:19] Examples of good opportunities [06:49] Responding to God's opportunities [07:57] Personal testimony and commitment [09:11] The choice of yes or no [11:35] The greatest opportunity: following Christ [13:44] A call to action [14:49] Seize the opportunity today Notable Quotes [01:53] "Every opportunity is not a good one. And every opportunity is not a bad one. So we have to navigate what we do with each opportunity that comes our way." — Pastor E [03:54] "Most of us jump to opportunities for the moment. It's for the moment. I need this now. But when it develops and it hasn't produced the result you were looking for, now you're struggling—and it could be for the rest of your life." — Pastor E [04:39] "Some of you might even walk around with some things you can't cure right now because of the moment. For that one night, this is what I wanted to do. And now it's this for the rest of my life." — Pastor E [06:33] "If you got a PhD in God, trust me, there's nothing else greater than that." — Pastor E [11:29] "The results in your life come from the opportunities that are presented to you. What do you do with those opportunities?" — Pastor E [12:38] "I'm not gonna sit here and tell you Pastor E is out here walking around on a cloud and he's so holy. I get angry sometimes. I cry sometimes. I get frustrated sometimes. Why? Because everything in my life is not adding up all the way to what I want." — Pastor E [15:05] "Jesus is not gonna return tomorrow, but that doesn't mean tomorrow you will have another opportunity. Seize the moment of today." — Pastor E [15:50] "Choose you this day. Watch your life change because I'm telling you that God's gonna show up in your life and do amazing things." — Pastor E Resources and Links Let's Talk About It Podcast Apple Spotify Pastor Eric Brown Website (http://ministryenmotion.org/) Email (mailto:admin@ministryenmotion.org)

What Are You Willing to Sacrifice?

What are you willing to give up to become the person God has called you to be? In this powerful episode of Let's Talk About It with Pastor E, Pastor E continues the conversation from last week's discussion on wants versus needs by exploring a question that every believer must eventually answer: What are you willing to sacrifice? Whether you're believing God for better health, financial freedom, stronger relationships, or spiritual growth, Pastor E explains that nothing worthwhile comes without sacrifice. Drawing from everyday examples, including weight loss, entrepreneurship, parenting, and Jesus' ultimate sacrifice on the cross, he reveals that every breakthrough requires letting go of something comfortable so you can embrace something greater. Pastor E reminds listeners that sacrifice is not about losing. It is about making room for God to work. When we surrender our own desires and align ourselves with God's will, He fills every need, strengthens our capacity, and prepares us for the blessings we have been praying for. If you've been asking God for more but have not been willing to release what is holding you back, this episode will challenge you to examine your priorities, embrace discipline, and trust that today's sacrifice is tomorrow's reward. Sometimes the greatest blessing begins with what you are willing to leave behind. In This Episode: [00:00] Introduction and recap of last week's episode on wants vs. needs [01:15] Why every blessing requires sacrifice [03:20] Weight loss, discipline, and everyday examples of sacrifice [05:45] God's greatest example, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ [07:35] Success, excellence, and the unseen sacrifices behind achievement [10:05] Choosing needs over wants in finances and family [13:05] Supporting others through personal sacrifice [15:20] Walking away from unhealthy habits and destructive appetites [18:10] Whatever you feed will grow [20:00] God fills the space created by sacrifice [22:15] Aligning your will with God's will [24:30] Final challenge, What are you willing to sacrifice? Notable Quotes [01:45] "There's nothing that's going to come into your lap without a sacrifice." — Pastor E [04:43] "The results of what we've seen was according to the sacrifice." — Pastor E [10:40] "Right now, what I need is a minivan in order for me to get what I want, which is the Bentley." — Pastor E [18:10] "Whatever you feed is going to grow." — Pastor E [20:20] "Whenever you sacrifice something for God, He's going to come in because what you just created was a need." — Pastor E [23:00] "Not my will, but Yours be done." — Pastor E Resources and Links Let's Talk About It Podcast Apple Spotify Pastor Eric Brown Website (http://ministryenmotion.org/) Email (mailto:admin@ministryenmotion.org)

   Is Your Life In Jeopardy

What if everything you've been chasing, money, houses, cars, the "bag," is actually keeping you from what you truly need? And what if what you already have in your hands is the very key to unlocking everything you've been praying for?In this powerful episode of Let's Talk About It with Pastor E, your host takes a deep dive into the often confusing tension between our wants and our needs. He breaks down why God prioritizes your needs over your wants, how capacity and trust play a role in your breakthrough, and why the miracle you're waiting for might be closer than you think, starting with what's right in front of you.Using the timeless story of Jesus feeding the 5,000, Pastor E reveals a mind blowing truth: the disciples showed up with "nothing," but they actually had baskets in their hands, and those baskets became vessels for overflow. The same applies to you. Your peace, your joy, your love, your health, these are the needs God wants to fill first. Once He can trust you with those, He can trust you with more.If you've been stressed, overwhelmed, or wondering why your prayers about money and stuff haven't been answered yet, this episode is your wake up call.
