Vistatec Life Sciences - In Focus Podcast Ep 28 - Sara Tylosky
“The future of healthcare isn’t about choosing between pharmaceuticals and natural health products; it’s about combining scientific rigor with innovative thinking.” That philosophy underpins the conversation with Sara Tylosky, CEO of Farmacon, in the latest episode of the Life Sciences – In Focus podcast.
Drawing on decades of experience in pharmaceuticals, clinical research, patient recruitment, and international healthcare, Sara shares why the lines between traditional pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals are becoming increasingly blurred. From AI-driven clinical development to the growing importance of Latin America in global research, she offers a compelling vision of where the life sciences industry is headed.
Sara’s career has been anything but conventional. After building a successful career in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and leadership, including roles at GSK, she stepped away from the industry to establish a nonprofit supporting education in rural Mexico. That experience broadened her perspective on healthcare, access, and global collaboration before leading her back into clinical research.
Today, as CEO of Farmacon, Sara leads an organization that acts as a strategic partner for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Rather than operating as a traditional CRO, Farmacon provides modular clinical development and operational support, helping organizations solve complex challenges in patient recruitment, clinical trial operations, and market expansion.
Throughout the discussion, Sara returns to a common theme: improving healthcare ultimately means helping patients access better treatments more efficiently.
