Life today is lived more authentically and openly, most of all unapologetically, without trying to hide or censor our true selves, thoughts, and emotions, essentially embracing our vulnerabilities and imperfections without concern for how others might perceive us. It's about being true to ourselves and not conforming to societal expectations or filtering our experiences to present a perfect image for the sake of other people.
Here I’m gonna talk about it all, if it affects me, you, us in any way, I wanna talk about it unfiltered and with no chaser. Solutions reside in starting or having a great conversation, an open mind and an ear to hear. I’m Camelia Taylor your host.
If you live on planet Earth, then you’re aware of everything that is going on around you. I’m not saying you gotta be hyper focused on the events of the world, but it’s impossible to ignore them. Everyday there’s something new, and it’s not always something that uplifts or is edifying .
Warning: if you have kids or you’re at work listening to this pod, grab your headphones, because this show ain’t calm or collected. It is however raw, unfiltered, uncut and and did I mention RAW! Soooo listen as an adult and at your on discretion.

The Overlooked History of Black Greatness (Honoring Black History)
For centuries Black people and our history have often been misunderstood due to historical systemic biases, and misrepresentation and a lack of control over mainstream narratives.
The media has long portrayed Black communities through a narrow lens, focusing on struggle while often overlooking joy, innovation, and resilience.
Before colonization, before the transatlantic slave trade, Africa was home to some of the most advanced and thriving civilizations in the world. We all know about Egypt, but what about the Kingdom of Ndongo, the Benin Empire, or the great city of Timbuktu?
We often hear about slavery as if it was just something that happened to Black people. But let’s be clear—Black folks fought back every step of the way.
In this episode this is the Black history they didn’t and still don’t teach you in school, but we’re bringing it to the forefront. Black History Month isn’t just about looking back—it’s about reclaiming our narrative and recognizing that our greatness didn’t start with struggle.
