David Bass: Looking Ahead | Next 10 Years
The Next 10 Years | Raising the Next Generation, Prayer & Developing Leaders What kind of church are we building for the next generation, and how do we prepare for all that God wants to do through us in the years ahead? As we continue exploring Life Vineyard Church's vision for the next ten years, this message brings together three essential priorities: investing in the next generation, becoming a church rooted in prayer, and intentionally raising and developing leaders. These are not simply programmes or ambitions for growth, but part of our calling to make room for more people to encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and play their part in God's Kingdom. In this message we reflect on: Why young people are not just the future of the Church, but an important part of the Church today. Our shared responsibility as a church family to nurture, equip, release and trust the next generation. Why prayer must remain at the heart of everything we do, recognising that the Church belongs to God. The importance of developing leaders who can serve, disciple others and help multiply ministry. Our vision for the Foundational Leadership Year, launching in January 2027. How every one of us can participate in what God is building through Life Vineyard. In 1 Timothy 4:12, Paul encourages Timothy not to allow his youth to become a barrier to serving God, but to set an example for other believers. Jesus Himself welcomed children and affirmed their place in His Kingdom (Matthew 19:14). Raising the next generation, therefore, is a responsibility we share as a church family. And as we look towards reaching more people across the North East, multiplying locations, making room for more and developing new leaders, we are reminded that none of this can be accomplished through our own strength alone. Philippians 4:6 calls us to bring everything before God in prayer, with thanksgiving and dependence on Him. Our responsibility is to remain faithful, invest in people, create opportunities and take the steps God is calling us to take — trusting Him to bring the increase. 📖 Key Scriptures:1 Timothy 4:11–12 | Matthew 19:14 | Philippians 4:6 ✨ Key Themes:Church Vision | The Next Generation | Discipleship | Prayer | Leadership Development | Multiplication | Serving | Kingdom Growth Whether you've been part of Life Vineyard for years, are new to our church family, or are exploring where you might belong and serve, this message is an invitation to be part of something bigger than ourselves. As we look towards the next ten years, may we become a church that makes room for the next generation, prays like never before, and raises leaders who will carry the life and love of Jesus into our communities and beyond. #LifeVineyardChurch #TheNext10Years #ChurchVision #NextGeneration #Prayer #LeadershipDevelopment #Discipleship #KingdomGrowth #FollowingJesus

David Bass: Keep Praying | Prayer
Prayer | Keep Praying Why don't we pray—or pray more? We may believe in prayer and know that it matters, yet pride, anxiety, hurry, disappointment, and the pressures of everyday life can quietly pull us away from it. Jesus, however, invites us into a life of persistent prayer—not as a religious performance, but as an ongoing relationship with our Father. In this message, we explore some of the barriers that keep us from prayer and return to the example and teaching of Jesus. Prayer is not about impressing others or finding the perfect words. It is an invitation to come honestly before a Father who already knows what we need, to seek His face, and to keep praying even when answers don't seem to come immediately. In this message we reflect on: • Why pride, anxiety, and hurry can become barriers to prayer• What the story of Genesis reveals about our tendency to hide from God• Why prayer is ultimately for an audience of One• What we can learn from Jesus' own rhythm of withdrawing to pray• What it means to “pray continually” in everyday life• Why Jesus teaches us to persist in prayer and not give up From the garden of Eden to the teaching of Jesus, Scripture reveals a God who desires relationship with His people. Even when we hide, He comes looking for us. Prayer begins with humility—recognising our need for God and turning our attention towards Him. And when answers are delayed or circumstances remain difficult, Jesus encourages us to keep coming, keep asking, keep seeking, and keep trusting the character of our Father. 📖 Key Scriptures: Genesis 3:4–9 | Matthew 6:5–9 | Mark 1:35 | 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 | 2 Chronicles 7:14 | Luke 18:1–8 ✨ Key Themes: Prayer | Persistence | Relationship with God | Humility | Seeking God | Spiritual Rhythms | Faith Whether prayer comes naturally to you, you've struggled to make space for it, or you've been praying about something for a long time without seeing the answer you hoped for, we pray this message encourages you not to give up. God invites us to come to Him—not because our prayers are impressive, but because He is our Father. Keep praying. Keep seeking. Keep trusting. #Prayer #KeepPraying #PersistentPrayer #PrayContinually #RelationshipWithGod #FollowingJesus #ChristianDiscipleship #Faith #BibleTeaching #LifeVineyardChurch

Kerry Bell-Saunders: Make Space | Prayer
Prayer | Make Space In the busyness of life—and even in the busyness of serving God—how do we make space simply to be with Him? Jesus lived a life filled with ministry, healing, teaching, and people constantly looking for Him. Yet in the middle of all that activity, He intentionally withdrew to a solitary place to pray. In this message, we explore prayer not simply as another Christian activity, but as relationship with God. Looking at the rhythm of Jesus' own life, we are reminded that what we do for God must flow from being with Him. Prayer creates space to know God, enjoy His presence, hear His voice, and allow our lives and priorities to be shaped by Him. In this message we reflect on: • Why Jesus intentionally made space for prayer even when there were pressing needs around Him• The difference between doing things for God and genuinely knowing Him• Why our relationship with God must remain at the centre of Christian life and ministry• How time with the Father gave Jesus clarity about where He was called to go next• What it means to glorify God and enjoy Him—not simply work for Him• How we can intentionally make space for God in the rhythms of everyday life Jesus' life reminds us that prayer isn't something added to an already busy Christian life—it is part of the foundation from which that life flows. Our calling is not simply to accomplish things in Jesus' name, but to know Him and live from that relationship. As we make space for God, prayer becomes a place of communion, formation, discernment, and renewed clarity about who we are and what He is calling us to do. 📖 Key Scriptures: Mark 1:32–39 | Matthew 7:22–23 ✨ Key Themes: Prayer | Relationship with God | Making Space | Knowing Jesus | God's Presence | Spiritual Rhythms | Discipleship Whether prayer has been part of your life for many years, has become crowded out by busyness, or you're still discovering what a relationship with God looks like, we pray this message encourages you to make space for Him again. Before the activity, before the ministry, before everything we might accomplish for God, there is a simple and beautiful invitation: to know Him, glorify Him, and enjoy Him. #Prayer #MakeSpace #KnowingGod #RelationshipWithGod #FollowingJesus #SpiritualRhythms #ChristianDiscipleship #BibleTeaching #LifeVineyardChurch #Mark1
