The Light on the Hill Radio Ministry is committed to communicating the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the world. We do this through the teaching ministry of Pastor James Kaddis. Our ministry has the responsibility of editing Pastor James’s regular pulpit sermons and producing 26-minute programs for radio stations across the nation. Since our radio program is available through our church app and through our Light on the Hill website (http://www.lightonthehillradio.com), this is truly a ministry that reaches souls worldwide.
As a way of review, Jesus has just fed four thousand people with a few fish and little bit of bread. He’s then approached by the Pharisees asking for a sign! They messed up, but we can stand to benefit from it, if we’ll grasp what Jesus is about to communicate here in Mark chapter eight. The Real Danger Part 1
The average person who reads through Mark chapter fourteen might not think much of it. On the surface, everything appears simple and familiar, with nothing that seems unusual or out of the ordinary. But as we’ll discover today on Light on the Hill this may be one of the most unique and consequential passages in the Gospel, and if we read past it too quickly, we risk missing something profoundly important. Slowing down and paying close attention here is critical, because what is happening beneath the surface carries eternal significance. They Missed It
Pastor James Kaddis will continue our journey through Mark’s gospel. We’ll be in chapter fourteen. Here we read about a woman who poured an expensive jar of perfume on Jesus. While some viewed this as a waste, she actually saw what they missed! And that was beyond the physical to the spiritual.
