Could you answer these 5 questions about your pet business?
In this episode, I’m inviting you to do a quick, no-pressure check-in on the handful of numbers that make running your pet business feel clearer and calmer. I walk you through five key metrics - your average monthly revenue, your actual profit, your average client value, your inquiry conversion rate, and the minimum your business needs to bring in each month - and explain how each one helps you make better decisions without relying on gut feelings.
We talk about why averages beat obsessing over random “good” or “bad” weeks, why profit matters more than flashy revenue, how knowing client value changes what you’re willing to spend to get clients, how conversion rate points to the real bottleneck, and how your minimum monthly number helps you set meaningful goals. I also share simple “homework” to find these numbers and check them regularly.

Are you accidentally making it difficult for people to buy from you?
In this episode, I’m talking about a problem I see all the time with pet business owners: accidentally making it difficult for people to buy. I share a personal example of giving up on a purchase because the website was confusing, and how most potential customers won’t tell you they left - they’ll just disappear.
I walk you through common friction points to check in your own business, like unclear messaging about what you offer, hiding key decision-making info (especially pricing), forcing unnecessary back-and-forth before someone can book, having too many steps between interest and checkout, and not clearly telling people what to do next. I also recommend “mystery shopping” your own business (or having someone else do it), so you can see where people get stuck and make it ridiculously easy to say yes.

Before you try to get more clients, fix this first
In this episode, I’m talking to you if you feel like the answer to every problem in your pet business is “I just need more clients.” Before you pour more energy into marketing, I want you to check whether your business is a leaky bucket and fix what’s already stopping you from making more money.
I walk you through five key areas to look at first: whether you’re charging enough, what happens to the inquiries you already get (and if you’re converting them), how well you’re keeping and supporting past clients, whether you actually have the capacity to handle more bookings, and whether clients are your only source of revenue. I also share how digital products can create another income stream without adding more appointments.
