We have launched our first ever podcast – the rather aptly named, PLODCAST.
Our Plodcast features a group of officers, from a variety of backgrounds and ranks, discussing thoughts on all different aspects of policing – and YOU have the chance to shape the conversation.
It will be an insight into what it's like to be a police officer in Lincolnshire in 2025. The panel will discuss all different aspects of policing, the good bits and the bad bits, the exciting and the boring, the happy and the sad.
Questions can be sent to plodcast@lincs.police.uk.
Meet the cadets – both past and present – that are shaping the future of Lincs Police in our latest ‘Plodcast!’
In this podcast special, our Deputy Chief Constable (and former cadet) Chris Davison speaks with current cadet Lacey Mai about everything to do with being a cadet in Lincolnshire Police. Hear what inspired our panellists to join, how it’s changed over the years and what exciting activities you can expect to get up to as a Lincolnshire Police cadet in 2026.
"Some people experience domestic abuse 35 to 38 times before they report to police and some people don’t even realise that’s what they are going through…”
This is our latest podcast, which brings together specialists in the field to talk about the signs of domestic abuse, the support available and mechanisms in place to help victims.
From Lincolnshire Police, Detective Superintendent Rachael Cox is Head of Protecting Vulnerable People and the force lead for domestic abuse. She talks to Ann Canter, the Outreach and Engagement Team Manager for the Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service.
Together they cover Clare’s Law, and how this scheme can inform people at risk of the history of an ex, current or future partner. You will also hear about Smartwater - a forensic, traceable liquid security system - which can not only be used as evidence to prove a suspect has been in a certain place, but is also giving victims additional reassurance, and acting as a deterrent to perpetrators.
Ann and Rachael also cover some common myths, the subtlety of coercive control, red flag behaviours such as ‘love bombing’ and the support available if you have been affected.
What crimes do our officers see over the festive season? Do we serve Christmas dinner in custody? Have we ever pulled over a sleigh?
Our jolly police officers and staff have returned to the studio to discuss the joys and challenges of being on the beat at Christmas in a new episode of our Lincolnshire Police ‘Plodcast’.
