Quick French Speaking (GCSE): Read Aloud, Roleplay, Photo Task - episode 7
EPISODE 7 Bonjour et bienvenue sur Lingogite podcast — a short, focused episode to help you practise French speaking for GCSE (AQA & Pearson Edexcel). In about 10 minutes you'll work through three tasks: a read-aloud with pronunciation tips, a Career roleplay with useful phrases and a photo description with questions. The episode includes model answers, spontaneous prompts and vocabulary to build accuracy, fluency and confidence for exam-style speaking tasks. Task 1 - Read Aloud Plus tard, je ne veux pas me marier. J’espère trouver un travail très utile avec un bon salaire. Il est important d’avoir une carrière intéressante pour être heureux. Après avoir fini mes études, je chercherai un emploi dans le monde des affaires. Mes amis veulent être influenceurs mais à mon avis, ce n’est pas une bonne décision. Task 2 - Role-Play You will need to answer with a sentence. You are talking to a French friend. You should address your friend as TU 1) Describe the type of career you would like to have (one thing and one reason) 2) Say what you want to do after finishing secondary school (one thing and one reason) 3) Ask your friend about university 4) Give your opinion about working abroad 5) Say what languages you can speak (give two details) Task 3 – Photo HOME There are four young adults sitting and relaxing on a sofa. They are wearing casual summer clothes. They are smiling and talking to each other with cups of tea on a small table. There is the kitchen in the background. Questions : A l’avenir tu voudrais partager une maison avec des copains ? Pourquoi ou pourquoi pas ? Quels sont les avantages et les inconvénients d’habiter à la campagne ? Quick French Speaking (GCSE): Read Aloud, Roleplay, Photo Task - episode 6
Short 10-minute episode to help you prepare for the new GCSE French (AQA and Pearson) by practising three speaking tasks: a read-aloud, a theatre roleplay and a photo description. The episode includes pronunciation tips, model answers and useful vocabulary for buying theatre tickets, asking about prices and times, describing people and shops in your neighbourhood, and talking about past activities. Listen regularly, repeat the phrases and try the roleplay to build confidence for exam practice. Task 1 - Read Aloud Je suis français et je parle trois langues. Avec ma famille, on aime voyager et découvrir des cultures différentes. Quand nous allons en vacances à l’étranger, je pense qu’il est important de parler avec les gens. Si nous mangeons dans un restaurant, nous choisissons toujours des plats traditionnels de la région. Task 2 - Role-Play You will need to answer with a sentence, not one-word answer. You are in a THEATRE in France. I will play the part of an employee at the theatre and will speak first. 1) Say what type of show you want to watch 2) Ask about the price for young people 3) Say why your friend is paying 4) Say what you will do after the show 5) Ask a question about the show times Task 3 – Photo MY NEIGHBOURHOOD There are two men buying clothes in a sport shop. One is buying a top and the other a tracksuit bottom. They seem to be friends and look happy. They are wearing normal clothes. Questions : Quels sortes de magasins est-ce qu’il y a dans ton quartier ? Qu’est-ce que tu as fait la dernière fois que tu es sorti dans ta ville/ dans ton quartier ?
