[…] Most of this you're going to have to provide yourself as you have to start the registration. Nobody else can do it. But you can delegate some of the key information to your agent. Details of this are unclear at the moment, but we expect that agents will be able to do things like upload the safety certificates, like gas safety certs, provide information about the rent or the number of occupants, that sort of thing. um but importantly you have to start the registration and then delegate that to the agent you can't ask your agent to to take on the registration for you now the fees are more than double what we expected them to be aren't they james what are the fees actually being used for so um the uh the way the fees work uh with the renters rights act is that um the fees have to pay for the enforcement and the administration of the database so this is a big chunk of that £65 a year is going to be going towards paying for local authorities to be able to enforce the Renters' Rights Act.
