You Don't Have To Be Okay To Be Obedient

In this quiet, tender episode, I’m sharing something God has gently been reminding me of again and again, obedience doesn’t wait for your healing. It doesn’t require strength or certainty. Sometimes, it’s a whisper. Sometimes, it’s showing up in the middle of heartbreak. Sometimes, it’s just getting out of bed and saying, “Lord, I’m here.” We talk about Jesus in the garden, the ache of showing up when everything feels fragile, and the lie that says we have to be put together before we can be used. I’ll walk with you through those moments that don’t feel holy but truly are, because real obedience often comes with trembling hands and tear-streaked faces. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not strong enough to follow God, or like your “yes” isn’t loud enough to matter, this episode is for you. Reflection question:Where is God gently asking for your obedience right now, even if your heart feels heavy? If this podcast spoke to you and you’d like to support my work, you can become a paid subscriber on Substack. You’ll get access to devotionals, deeper reflections, and some behind-the-scenes coffee chats. No pressure at all… this space will always have room for everyone. But if you feel led to support a Christian creator sharing real, raw faith… I’d be so grateful. You're Not The Only One Under Fire

If you’ve ever felt like you were being personally targeted by the enemy, like you’re the only one worn thin, discouraged, or under pressure, this episode is for you. Today, we’re diving into 1 Peter 5:8–9, and the quiet comfort it holds: “The family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” You’re not the only one. You’re not failing. And most of all—you’re not alone. In this honest conversation, we talk about:🔥 The spiritual weight of being “under fire”💭 The lie of isolation—and how shame thrives in it🕯️ What it means to stand firm, even when all you can do is whisper a prayer This episode is a reminder that if the enemy is roaring, it might be because you’re carrying something sacred. And even if your hands are trembling, your faith still counts. I’m standing with you. This community is with you. And God—He’s closer than the roar. Listen now and share with someone who needs to know they’re not alone in the fire. And if you want to keep going deeper with me each week, you’re invited to join the Little Sparrow Loved Crew. That’s where I share my Faith & Me Updates, offer monthly devotionals, and host a private chat space for honest, real-time connection. Upgrading is totally optional, but if you’re looking to be encouraged in your walk and cheer on a small Christian creator, I’d love to have you there. The Weight Of Words

Hey friends, welcome back to The Little Sparrow Loved Podcast — a space for the tender-hearted, the overthinkers, and those walking through faith with their hands a little shaky but their hearts wide open. In today’s episode, The Weight of Words, we’re going deep into the power of language — not just the things we say, but the words spoken over us that shaped how we see ourselves, and how we think God sees us too. If you've ever wrestled with negative self-talk, childhood labels, or the ache of never hearing “I’m proud of you”… you’re not alone. Today I’m sharing my journey through that spiral — and how I’m learning to replace the lies with the truth of what God says about me. Inside this episode:💬 The impact of early words and how they stick💔 How self-worth and faith are more connected than we think🕊️ Practical ways to shift your language to align with God’s truth And if you want to keep going deeper with me each week — you’re invited to join the Little Sparrow Loved Crew. That’s where I share my Faith & Me Updates, offer monthly devotionals, and host a private chat space for honest, real-time connection. Faith That Feels Real: Letting Go of the Perfect Christian Image

Faith That Feels Real: Letting Go of the Perfect Christian Image Ever felt like you have to “look” like a strong Christian even when you're struggling? Like faith means always smiling, always steady, always having the right words? In this episode of Little Sparrow Loved, we’re getting real about the pressure to perform in our faith—the guilt, the expectations, and the fear of not measuring up. I’ll share my own journey of trying to “prove” my faith while secretly feeling exhausted, and how I finally learned that Jesus never asked us to be perfect—He just asked us to come. If you’ve ever hidden your struggles behind an “I’m fine” or felt like you had to ‘try harder’ to be a “better” Christian, this one’s for you. Let’s talk about what it really means to live an authentic faith—one where you don’t have to perform, pretend, or have it all together. Listen in for: ✨ The real reason we feel pressure to “look” like good Christians ✨ How performance-based faith leaves us exhausted and distant from God ✨ What Jesus actually asks of us (hint: it’s not perfection) ✨ A simple challenge to help you step out of performance and into real, honest faith Grab your coffee, get comfy, and let’s have a heart-to-heart. Listening For Ah-Ha Moments

Today I thought I would change it up a bit and give you the option to either read the post or listen… maybe you want to do both… So, You know those moments when everything just clicks? Those light bulb, ah-ha moments that bring sudden clarity to something you’ve been wrestling with? I have them often. Some leave a lasting impact, forever changing my life. Others, well, they slip through my grasp. But God, in His faithfulness, revisits them with me until they finally sink in and make a difference. What’s amazing about His patience and gentle nudging is that I’ve come to realize He is always speaking. Always ready with revelation if we only stop long enough to listen. I know, I know—you’re probably thinking, “Sarah, it’s easy to say that, but living it out is a whole different story.” Trust me, I hear you loud and clear. I was right where you are until I changed the way I listened. Now, I don’t wait to jot down what’s been placed in my spirit. If you saw the notes app on my phone, you’d be mortified. It’s full of thousands of small writings. At the end of each day, I scan through them and pray about what God is asking me to focus on. Next to my bed, in the drawer, is a notebook. There are even more notes in there from when I wake up at all hours and write down my dreams. These notes are full of the things God longs to speak to me about. If He’s asking me to work on forgiveness, small words come to me, and the image of the person or what hurt me pops into my mind over and over. Scriptures begin to flow through around forgiveness. The same happens with say peace, which is what I’m working on embracing in this season. I hear “rest” or “simplicity,” and I start to see images of a field and stillness. He reminds me that busy doesn’t equal progress and that sometimes being still, produces more. The story of Mary and Martha comes to my mind and I have a choice to make… sit at His feet or miss the opportunity. Through my refinement period, He led me into the wilderness and walked me through it. During times of anxiety, He brought me the resources I needed and the people who could speak into my life. Through faith, bravery, trust, and hurt… You get what I’m trying to say, right? He speaks to me in the way of themes or the one area I need to focus on. Sometimes, we can feel so overwhelmed in the natural with all the areas we need to work on. The noise from it all becomes overwhelming. But if we just stop long enough, we can see the theme, we can see what God is asking us to focus on. We hear Him saying, “Hey, one thing at a time, one foot in front of the other. I’m here to help you focus.” Maybe you hear God differently, and that’s amazing. He reaches us in ways He knows we will respond. But for me, it’s the notes app, the journal, and sometimes, it’s a voice note sent to me via text! Those ah-ha moments are precious in how God speaks. I’ve made a habit of seeking them or being aware that He is always willing to talk and reveal if we are in expectation of wanting to commune with Him. So, let’s be intentional about listening. Let’s note down those whispers, those nudges, and dreams. God is speaking—are we ready to listen? “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10 Let this verse remind us to pause, listen, and recognize His voice in our everyday moments. Navigating The Hard Side Of Faith.

Welcome to this week’s podcast where I discuss Navigating the hard side of faith! In this episode of the Little Sparrow Podcast, I share a personal journey through doubt and uncertainty, reflecting on the raw emotions that surfaced unexpectedly. As I drove home one day, tears streamed down my face, and questions flooded my mind. Have you ever experienced such a moment? It's in these vulnerable times that our faith is truly tested. Yet, amidst the turmoil, I found comfort in Scripture, particularly in the metaphor of mustard seed faith. Even the smallest amount of faith can move mountains. It's a reminder that God welcomes our doubts and questions with open arms, inviting us to seek truth and understanding. So, my friend, I encourage you to embrace your doubts, knowing that they can lead to growth and a deeper connection with the Divine. Hold onto your faith, no matter how fragile it may seem. And as we journey together, I invite you to take action. Sign up for our newsletter or become a paid subscriber to receive exclusive monthly downloads. Or explore the Little Sparrow Loved shop, where you can purchase individual downloads to support your faith journey. *Thank you for joining me on this adventure of faith. Together, let's continue to seek truth and grow in our relationship with God. Love Sarah xx. Purpose In The Pain Podcast Episode

Welcome to this week’s episode where I talk about Purpose in the Pain… Life's trials often leave us questioning our purpose and direction, but amidst the darkness, there's an opportunity to turn our pain into powerful testimonies. Just as Joseph's suffering led to greater purpose, our own trials can become beacons of hope and salvation for others. By surrendering our pain to God and trusting in His sovereignty, we can find growth and transformation in the midst of our struggles. Our stories have the potential to inspire and encourage those facing similar challenges, leading them to faith, hope, and healing. As we embrace the journey of finding purpose in our pain, we trust that God can turn our darkest moments into powerful testimonies of His love and redemption. #OverflowingLove #GodsAbundantGrace #UnconditionalLove #LoveLikeJesus #EmbraceCompassion Get full access to Little Sparrow Loved at littlesparrowloved.substack.com/subscribe (https://littlesparrowloved.substack.com/subscribe?utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=CTA_4)
