<p>The Mindful Heart Podcast- Season 6, Episode 9 <br />The Lotus Sutra and <br />Learning to See the Light Within <br /> <br />There is a moment in the Lotus Sutra where the entire assembly-monastics, lay practitioners, devas, dragons, and unseen beings-witnesses a vast light radiating from the Buddha, illuminating countless worlds. And yet, instead of certainty, a question arises: <br /> <br />“What is this? And who can we ask?” <br /> <br />Even Maitreya Bodhisattva does not rush to answer. He pauses. He observes the minds of the whole assembly. And then, he turns to Manjushri Bodhisattva the embodiment of wisdom and asks: <br /> <br />“By what causes and conditions does this light appear, illuminating so many worlds in their full clarity?” <br /> <br />This episode is not about supernatural light. <br /> <br />It is about something far more precise: <br />the moment awareness begins. <br /> <br />In today’s mindfulness practice, we don’t try to interpret the sutra-we use it. <br /> <br />We observe three things: <br /> <br />1.The question <br />2.The light <br />3.The adornment - seeing without judgment <br /> <br />When a thought arises, instead of following it, we pause and ask: <br />Where did this come from? <br /> <br />This is the practice. <br /> <br /> <br />On this sacred day, we also honor the birthday of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. <br /> <br />Samantabhadra represents the unity of wisdom and action-the perfect integration of understanding and practice <br />and embodies the great vows that guide all beings toward awakening. Often regarded as the source of all Buddhas’ vows and conduct, his path reminds us: <br /> <br />Insight alone is not enough. <br />Clarity must become action. <br /> <br />To see clearly is wisdom. <br />To live it, moment by moment, is the vow. <br />The Buddha’s light is not something distant. <br />It is the moment you notice a thought before it becomes a story. <br />It is the space where awareness expands beyond habit. <br /> <br />Take 15 minutes today. <br />Sit. <p>琉璃心 第三季第127集 <br />楞嚴經 與 正念減痛 <br /> <br />觸不可得,痛亦如是 <br /> <br />阿難!汝常晨朝以手摩頭。于意云何?此摩所知,誰為能觸? <br /> <br />佛陀沒有否定「觸」, <br />而是輕輕地問: <br /> <br />這個「感覺」,從哪裡來? <br /> <br />在手?在頭? <br />在身體?還是在「我」? <br /> <br />一層一層看下去,才會發現: <br />找不到一個固定的「能觸」, <br />也找不到一個真正的「我在感覺」。 <br /> <br />於是佛陀說: <br />覺觸與身,俱無處所。 <br />即身與觸,二俱虛妄。 <br /> <br />不是沒有痛, <br />而是我們把痛,抓得太緊。 <br /> <br /> <br />當身體不舒服時, <br />我們習慣說:「我很痛。」 <br /> <br />但在正念裡,可以慢慢學著這樣看: <br /> <br />不是「我在痛」, <br />而是「痛的感覺,正在發生」。 <br /> <br />這一念的轉變,很微小, <br />卻是解開痛苦的關鍵。 <br /> <br />試著在下一次疼痛來時, <br />不要急著抗拒,也不要急著壓下。 <br /> <br />輕輕地觀察: <br /> <br />它在哪裡? <br />它會不會變? <br />它有沒有一個固定的中心? <br /> <br />你會發現 <br />它像一陣風,來來去去; <br />像水面的波紋,起起落落。 <br /> <br />當不再緊抓「這是我的痛」, <br />痛,開始鬆動。 <br /> <br />正念教我們: <br /> <br />不要把暫時的感覺, <br />當成真實不變的自己。 <br /> <br />願我們在每一次不舒服之中, <br />多一分覺察,少一分執取。 <br /> <br />痛或許還在, <br />但心,可以不再受困。 <br /> <br />支持節目: <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://mindful.firstory.io/join">https://mindful.firstory.io/join</a> <br />留言告訴我你對這一集的想法: </p> <br /> <br/>Powered by <a href="https://firstory.me/zh">Firstory Hosting</a>
