Before the first charge. Before the first fight. Before the first time the door slammed shut behind us.
There were wounds.
In this powerful season finale of Live from the Cell, we’re pulling back the curtain on the childhood trauma that often goes unspoken — but never unfelt. We're diving deep into the ACEs test — the Adverse Childhood Experiences that silently shape the trajectory of our lives, our mental health, and for many of us, our incarceration.
From abuse to abandonment, neglect to violence, we explore how trauma stacks the deck long before a crime is ever committed. We break down the science, the stigma, and the statistics — and share raw, unfiltered stories from those who’ve lived it.
If you've been impacted by the system — or want to offer resources, share your own story, or support someone who's currently or formerly incarcerated — we want to hear from you.
