21. Sunday Worship from the Garden of La Casa - "The Trick of Preferences And The True Alternative"
Welcome to the Sunday Worship service recorded on October 18, 2026, at La Casa de Milagros. In this insightful session, Jason and Emily explore the profound theme of "The Trick of Preferences And The True Alternative," focusing on the importance of recognizing the ego’s deceptions to fully embrace divine guidance.
The gathering begins with a personal reflection on the exhausting nature of personal effort, such as the stressful desire to "settle" and organize life after moving. By yielding these specific preferences and releasing the need to want anything from the world, Jason discovered an authentic, overwhelming joy, illustrating that when we stop wanting things from the world, the world stops demanding things from us.
Drawing from A Course in Miracles and biblical teachings, Jason and Emily discuss how preferences are not merely harmless choices but rather deep-seated tricks of the ego that teach the mind it is lacking, missing something, and guilty. Every time we chase worldly desires—be it comfort, success, or simply a hot cup of coffee—we are sacrificing our true identity and perpetuating a belief in sin and separation.
Emily and Jason emphasize that the only real alternative to this perpetual search is divine guidance, and the only true question is whether we are willing to surrender our illusions and follow the Holy Spirit.
Accompanied by original songs crafted from course quotes, this service invites listeners to stop deciding with the ego and joyfully accept the freedom of deciding with God.

19. Sunday Worship from the Garden of La Casa - "Grace and Gratitude, the Joy of Our Single Purpose"
Welcome to the Sunday Worship service recorded on October 11, 2026, hosted by Peter, Emily, and Erik. This heartfelt gathering centers around the theme of "Grace and Gratitude, the Joy of Our Single Purpose".
The community opens by expressing deep gratitude for their shared spiritual purpose and reflects on the immense joy that comes from giving undivided attention to the Holy Spirit, even when the ego attempts to distract the mind with physical symptoms or bodily illness.
A major focus of the session is an inspiring exploration of the life and teachings of Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science. Through incredible historical parables—such as instantly curing a woman's chronic heart condition and raising her devoted secretary, Caleb Frye, after he had passed away—the presenters emphasize that miraculous healing is never about fixing or improving the physical body. Rather, the physical world and the body are recognized as illusions and distraction devices, and true healing occurs simply by waking the mind up to the absolute reality and power of God's love.
Accompanied by moving music, including Brandon Lake's "Gratitude" and original community songs, this service serves as a beautiful invitation to release the false laws of the world and rest entirely in divine grace.

19. Sunday Worship from the Garden of La Casa - "Happy Learner, The Attraction to Innocence"
Welcome to the Sunday Worship service recorded on October 4, 2026, at La Casa de Milagros. Aligning beautifully with St. Francis Day—the patron saint of Chapala, where the community resides—this joyful session explores the theme of "The Happy Learner, The Attraction to Innocence". The gathering serves as a celebration of original innocence, drawing inspiration from St. Francis of Assisi and reminding listeners to release the ego's attraction to guilt.
Drawing from A Course in Miracles, the community discusses how a "happy learner" recognizes that guilt is merely an interference and instead chooses to send out messengers of love rather than messengers of fear. The session features practical examples of receiving loving correction, such as reframing neglected responsibilities as a beautiful garden that simply needs care, allowing feelings of guilt to instantly shift into joy and inspiration.
Supported by uplifting music including "Holy Now," "Testify to Love," "I Said Yes," and "The Happy Learner," this gathering is a lighthearted invitation to question self-imposed limitations, silence the ego's doubts, and willingly accept the profound love God offers in the present moment.
