What If They Never Apologize?
What do you do when someone hurts you deeply, neverapologizes, and you’re still called to forgive them? In this episode of Living Room Conversations, Jermel and Michelle have an honest conversation about one of the hardest parts of following Jesus: forgiveness. From betrayal and broken relationships to unresolved anger and the pain of never receiving an apology, they explore what it really means to forgive when the hurt is still there. Does forgiveness mean you have to forget what happened? Does it mean trusting someone who has hurt you? And what does forgiveness look like when reconciliation isn’t possible? Together, they unpack the difference between forgivenessand trust, why healthy boundaries can still be necessary, and how to begin healing without waiting for someone else to make things right. Because forgiveness doesn’t mean pretending the hurtnever happened. It doesn’t mean excusing someone’s behavior or removing every boundary. It means choosing to surrender the offense to God and refusing to let someone else’s actions control the condition of your heart. You may not be able to change what happened toyou, but with Jesus, you can change what it produces in you. 💬 Question to consider: Is there someone you need to forgive, even if they never apologize? 📖 Scripture: Matthew 18:21–22, Colossians 3:13 Subscribe to Living Room Conversations with Jermel and Michelle for more honest conversations about life, faith, relationships, and navigating the changes God brings our way. --- Explore Our Digital Resources: Whether you feel called to ministry, want to grow in your faith, strengthen your marriage, or become more equipped to share the Gospel, explore our digital resources created to encourage and equip you for where God is calling you.
