About Living Stones Church - Crown Point

Launching in 1981 as just 30 people in a living room in Northwest Indiana, Living Stones has grown into a vibrant multi-generational church family. Stones are a product of God the Creator — formed in nature and no two are alike. As we come to faith in Jesus Christ, scripture tells us that we are like living stones in the hand of God and He is using us to build up a spiritual house. Our foundation was built on the work of nurturing and restoring healthy, biblical marriages. In continuing that mission, everything we do here at Living Stones is centered around loving, healing, and equipping individuals and families to grow into a greater likeness of Christ Jesus! By the Holy Spirit, we exist today to Renew Hearts, Restore Homes, Reform Culture and Reach the Nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5 ”As you come to him who is the Living Stone — he was rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious — you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house.” We are a family — misfits, hypocrites, creatives, addicts, reformers, over-churched, unchurched, wanderers — each of us a stone, uniquely crafted by the hand of God, made alive through Jesus, and now living by the power of the Holy Spirit. Together, we are Living Stones.

This Is How God Responds When You Are Covered in Shame | Pastor Ron Johnson

What if the God of the universe isn't waiting for you to clean up your act before He welcomes you home? Dr. Ron Johnson walks us through Luke 15 and paints a breathtaking picture of a Father who doesn't wait for a negotiation or a polished confession. When the prodigal son was still a long way off, the father lifted his robe, exposed his shame, and sprinted down the road to embrace a dirty, broken child. Here is the profound tension and beauty of the gospel: God's affection toward us is never based on our performance or contribution, but entirely on His relentless mercy. He doesn't hold our sin against us, and He delights to lavish us with a robe of honor, a family ring of authority, and a joyful feast of restoration. 👍 Like, Comment, & Subscribe for more content like this! 🔔 Turn on notifications so you never miss a video! ⛪ ABOUT LIVING STONES CHURCH: Launching in 1981 as just 30 people in a living room in Northwest Indiana, Living Stones has grown into a vibrant multi-generational church family. You’re Hiding From a Father Who's Already Running Toward You | Pastor Ronnie Johnson

In this message, Pastor Ronnie continues the Awakening series by looking at the prodigal son and the way shame can distort how we think God sees us. We may assume the Father is disappointed, distant, or waiting for us to prove ourselves—but the gospel tells a different story. Before the son could finish his apology, the father ran to him, embraced him, and welcomed him home. This message is a reminder that your relationship with God is not based on what you’ve done, but on what Jesus has already done for you. The Thing You Thought Would Free You May Be The Thing Controlling You | Pastor Ron Johnson

In this message, Pastor Ron continues the Awakening series with the story of the prodigal son and the moment he finally comes to his senses. He shows us that repentance begins when we stop making excuses, get honest about where we are, and admit that we can’t save ourselves. The Good News is that God isn’t waiting for you to fix yourself first. He’s waiting for you to come home, surrender, and let Jesus do what only He can do.
