If you’re ready for more freedom, purpose and possibility in your life, you’re in the right place.
Maybe life is good, but you know it could fit you better. Maybe you’re considering a second act, trying to take better care of yourself or wondering how to create income by design so work stops running the whole show. Perhaps you just want to make more room for joy and playfulness!
I’m Kimberly Henrie. I’ve spent most of my life behind a microphone and I’m also a wellness educator, entrepreneur and full-time RVer. I don’t believe there’s one right way to live a good life. In fact, some of the best lives begin when we stop following the expected route.
On Living the Good Life, I talk with people who have made intentional choices about purpose, wellness, creativity, adventure, entrepreneurship and freedom. We talk about what changed, what was hard, what surprised them and what they’ve learned along the way.
My hope is that every episode gives you one idea worth carrying with you. Maybe it helps you see a new possibility. Maybe it gives you the nudge to make your own next move toward a life—and an income—that works for you.
2620 Catching Up with Janine Bolon – Intentional Living, Overcoming Crises, and Revenue Without Rush
In this episode, Kimberly welcomes back Janine Bolon for the first time since January 2022.
Janine shares an honest and raw look at the major life transitions and professional curveballs she has faced over the last few years—including shifting industry landscapes, business restructuring, personal grief, and the unexpected twists of life. Together, they explore how these challenges redefined Janine's perspective on business, goal-setting, hustle culture, and what it truly means to savor life.
Key Discussion Points & Highlights
The Shifting Landscape of Business: Janine opens up about how seismic shifts in search engines and AI severely impacted her lead generation system for her former business, White Glove Broadcasting, eventually leading her to close its doors after 10 years and take on a 9-to-5 job.
Navigating Grief and Fear: Janine reflects on how she processed deep personal grief and fear, choosing to face them head-on with structured strategic planning rather than avoidance.
Strategic Life Planning vs. Journaling: Instead of traditional journaling, Janine describes her process of creating a 30-year strategic life proposal using legal pads to ask foundational questions: What has to happen? What do I want to do? What do I want to give? What do I want to share? and What do I want to be?
Inspiration for the New Book (Revenue Without Rush): Janine discusses her current book project, born from a conversation with her 24-year-old daughter, Claire, who asked for a distillation of life lessons to help her navigate the world without falling into the trap of burnout and hustle culture.
The Power of Creating in Public: Janine shares her collaborative beta-reading process, explaining how working directly with an uncapped community of beta readers helps shape her books in real time.
Intergenerational Perspectives & Legacy: The conversation touches on how younger generations are prioritizing the savoring of life, pushing back against toxic cancel culture through creative outlets like "Hear Me Out," and focusing thoughtfully on societal legacy.
Savoring the Moment: Both Kimberly and Janine reflect on the importance of stepping away from rigid, hyper-productive mindsets to deeply appreciate the present moments of life.

2618 Does Your Home Help You Thrive or Hold You Back? with Kim Costa
How do you feel when you walk into your home each day? Is it possible that you could create a haven that supports your personality, dreams and goals vs creating feelings of overwhelm, drain and responsibility?
Maybe your home once fit your life and no longer does. Maybe it never really worked for you in the first place. Either way, you may find yourself wondering: Is it time to stay, go or renovate?
In this episode of Living the Good Life, I’m talking with Kim Costa, a REALTOR®, author, speaker, podcast host and creator of Lifestyle Foundations and the Wheel House Assessment. With more than 30 years of experience in residential construction, design and real estate, Kim helps people look beyond bedrooms, budgets and square footage to consider a bigger question: Does your home—and the environment around it—help you thrive, or quietly hold you back?
Kim explains how our surroundings can affect everything from our health, relationships and work to the ways we rest, create and connect. She also shares how her own home supported her through a major season of reinvention—and the wonderfully serendipitous story of eventually living in the kind of cottage she had imagined years earlier.
We talk about:
Recognizing the everyday friction your environment may be creating
Why “familiar” doesn’t necessarily mean “right”
Looking at your needs before deciding whether to stay, move or renovate
Creating space for the parts of yourself that need to refuel
Kim’s simple “front door feeling” exercise
Making one meaningful change instead of trying to fix everything at once
You don’t have to be buying, selling or remodeling a home to get something from this conversation. Sometimes the first step is simply noticing how your surroundings make you feel—and asking what might help life work a little better.
Kim is the author of Live in Your Wheel House: An Empowering Guide to Stay, Go, or Reno.
