In Acts, we discover that the primary strategist and power behind the growth of the church is the Holy Spirit. Nowhere is this more evident than in Acts 1011, where we see the Spirit speaking through visions and moving in power to show Peter that both Jew and Gentile are welcome in the family of God. As God moves among them all, everyone is sorting out who belongs to God, and what behaviour accompanies those who belong to God. After hearing Peters account of what God had done, the circumcised Jews glorified God and shared the gospel of repentance that leads to life for Jews and Gentiles.Watch at: https://youtu.be/JjvgmUSYiH4 File Downloads: https://lwchurch.ca/df_media/W1siZiIsIjIwMjYvMTAvMTgvMjEvMjQvMzYvNzBkZGY3ZGEtMjFiNy00YmU3LTg5MTAtNjNjY2M0ZjYxOWZkLzIwMjYuMTAuMTggLSBEaXNjdXNzaW9uIE5vdGVzIChTb2xtZXMpLnBkZiJdXQ/2026.10.18%20-%20Discussion%20Notes%20%28Solmes%29.pdf?sha=0ace92055d03b771

In Every Nation: Cornelius & Peter, Part 2
In Acts, we discover that the primary strategist and power behind the growth of the church is the Holy Spirit. Nowhere is this more evident than in Acts 10, where we see the Spirit speaking through visions and moving in power to show Peter that both Jew and Gentile are welcome in the family of God. This story marks a seismic shift in the early church, as they discover Jesus expansive welcome to the nations.Watch at: https://youtu.be/pdf1liHRAt8 File Downloads: https://lwchurch.ca/df_media/W1siZiIsIjIwMjYvMTAvMTEvMTYvMTIvMzQvODQ4ZWYwOGUtNjY1NS00NWM3LTg2ZGItZGM1ZjgxOTEzMjIzLzIwMjYuMTAuMTEgLSBEaXNjdXNzaW9uIE5vdGVzIChBbm9uYnkpLnBkZiJdXQ/2026.10.11%20-%20Discussion%20Notes%20%28Anonby%29.pdf?sha=8ba8b53947994568

What God Makes Clean (Cornelius & Peter, Part 1)
Acts tells us story after story about God caring more about the sharing of his good news of great joy for all people than he does about the comfort or convenience of those already in the kingdom. If it were a competition between peoples comfort zones and Gods welcome, Gods welcome always won out.
Notice in this story the wide-sweeping narrative of Acts, the growth and movement of the gospel, and the activity of the Spirit. Notice, with that same expanse and range, the intimacy at work between God and someone like Cornelius picked out, drawn in. Gods drawing of any and all people is not beyond his ability, nor his interest.Watch at: https://youtu.be/xIl_eEY1VYw File Downloads: https://dq5pwpg1q8ru0.cloudfront.net/2026/10/04/15/33/00/2e5f4223-81d6-4d5c-a450-e23065bafc47/2026.10.04%20-%20Discussion%20Notes%20(Knight).pdf
