Living Well through Transformation in Jesus with Tammie Parker
You might have heard Tammie Parker’s radical testimony over on the Leading Well podcast, where he shared his journey out of the gang scene and into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. But what happens after the initial rescue? How do you learn to walk out a healthy, sustainable life of freedom day after day?
In this episode of Living Well, Mike sits down with Tammie to unpack the grit, discipline, and daily choices required to live well through long-term spiritual transformation. Once driven by a desire to be the "best at being the worst," Tammie’s heart has been completely transformed. Today, he finds his joy in getting up every day to "battle for the Lord’s Kingdom" through his work with Shining Light street ministries, returning to the very places of brokenness he used to belong to, this time bringing the hope of Christ.
Tammie opens up about the reality of the post-rescue journey: wrestling with pride, discerning the voice of the enemy, and dismantling his own blueprints to rebuild his life God’s way. He and Mike dive into what it truly means to partner with God in the season of preparation, holding onto the vision of a healthy future while honouring the daily discipline it takes to get there.
It’s an incredibly moving conversation filled with stories of God's restoration, the gift of earthly and heavenly fatherhood, and the beautiful shift from simply doing things for God, to doing absolutely everything with Him.
Tune in for an episode that goes far beyond a transformation story, providing encouragement for anyone learning to walk out a lifetime of healing, purpose, and wholeness.
