Tibetan rivers & Environmental issues- Michael Buckley
This is a discussion with Michael Buckley on Tibetan rivers & Environmental issues where we covered some major important topics. You can learn about the importance of Tibetan rivers and beautiful environment but you will also understand how China is destroying the ecosystem of Tibet.
Michael Buckley is an award-winning Canadian journalist who, amongst other things, wrote Lonely Planet's first guidebook to Tibet (the first guidebook ever to Tibet) in 1986. A freelance travel writer and photographer, he has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, and the Himalayan and Karakoram ranges. He has made two short documentaries about major environmental issues in Tibet and moves between Asia and Vancouver, Canada. He is also an author of, famous book ' Meltdown in Tibet' which talks about the mighty rivers of Tibet are being dammed by Chinese engineering consortiums to feed the mainland's thirst for power, and the land is being relentlessly mined in search of minerals to feed China's industrial complex. On the drawing board are plans for a massive engineering project to divert water from Eastern Tibet to water-starved Northern China. Ruthless Chinese repression leaves Tibetans powerless to stop the reckless destruction of their sacred land, but they are not the only victims of this campaign: the nations downstream from Tibet rely heavily on rivers sourced in Tibet for water supply, and for rich silt used in agriculture. This destruction of the region's environment has been happening with little scrutiny until now. In Meltdown in Tibet, Michael Buckley turns the spotlight on the darkest side of China's emergence as a global super power.

Depression - The secret we share (སེམས་ངལ།)
One in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives. Depression can hit anyone at anytime and those who suffer from depression are hard to recognize from outside. Everyone, including your family and friend might be going through depression and let's understand what is depression. I hope that through this discussion we help those who are facing depression and not isolate them or misunderstand them.

Middle Way Approach-The best policy for solving conflict between Tibet and China
Main objectives are:
To understand The Middle Way approach policy and historical background.
Why it is the key solution for Tibet and China conflict?
Challenges in negotiation and why China must engage in dialogue.
How it will benefit both sides and sustain stability in future.
The Middle Way policy is a mutually-beneficial policy that is based on the principles of justice, compassion, non-violence, friendship and in the spirit of reconciliation for the well-being of entire humanity. It does not envisage victory for oneself and defeat for others. Appreciation within Chinese community and international communities for the middle way policy is growing every day. It is clear that solving the conflict in peaceful dialogue is the way of 21st century rather than sacrificing lives and ending in violence. The Middle Way policy is the best available solution for China and Tibet in living peacefully with mutual understanding and benefit without disputing for who wins and who lost.
