Living by the Spirit: Peace over Worry | Week 3 | Chris Emmitt
This message contrasts the emotional exhaustion of worry with the peace God offers through Jesus Christ. Drawing from Jesus' teaching in Matthew 6, it emphasizes that anxiety cannot add a single moment to life and often reveals misplaced priorities—serving money, success, or control instead of God. The message calls listeners to trust God's care, seek His kingdom first, and allow the Holy Spirit to form Christlike fruit, especially peace, within them. It closes with Jesus' promise in John 14 that the Holy Spirit brings a lasting peace the world cannot give, inviting hearers to surrender their lives to Christ and rest in Him.

Living by the Spirit: What is Joy? | Week 2 | Chris Emmitt
This sermon teaches that biblical joy is not a temporary feeling tied to circumstances, but a steady state of being that recognizes and receives God's grace—even in pain. Drawing primarily from James 1, it calls believers to make a clear decision when trials come: choose joy and trust God alone rather than treating Him as one resource among many. As faith is tested, endurance grows, bringing stability in the storm and, in time, God's promised blessing. Rooted in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5) and Jesus' invitation to remain in His love (John 15), the message urges listeners to lean on God daily and endure with Spirit-powered joy.

Living by the Spirit: What is love? | Week 1 | Chris Emmitt
This sermon, "Living by the Spirit: What is love?", teaches that biblical love is not just a feeling but a sacrificial, others-focused, Christlike way of living. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 13, it emphasizes that all spiritual gifts, knowledge, or acts of charity are meaningless without genuine love. True love is action-oriented and demonstrated, not merely felt—mirroring how God showed His love by sending Christ for us (Romans 5:8). This kind of love, especially toward difficult people and even enemies, is only possible through the Holy Spirit working in believers. Ultimately, love is the proof of true discipleship and the only virtue that lasts forever, with eternal significance for how we live today.
