(S6) EP#183: Lola’s Ramblings & Musings: Perfect Crown, We Are All Trying Here, and more!

Today’s episode is the Ramblings & Musings: First Half of the Year Catch Up with Lola episode! And listen…this one has been a long time coming.

I feel like I’ve been watching a lot, but also not watching anything at the same time? Like I’ve been all over the place in Kdramaland and I needed to sit down and really gather my thoughts before I came on here and started talking to you guys.

So this episode is exactly that. It’s me catching you up on what my year has been looking like so far. The dramas I finished, the ones I thought I was going to love and didn’t, the ones I’m side-eyeing but still pressing play on anyway, and the ones that have me like…okay wait, I might actually be into this.

And I’m not even going to lie to you, this Ramblings & Musings feels a little chaotic. But you already know that that shouldn't stop you from listening to Lola's ramblings and musings.

So if you want to hear what I’ve been watching, what’s been hitting, what absolutely has not been hitting, and what I’m thinking about picking up next…listen now.

Today’s episode is the first “Late to the Party” episode of the season for Lola Pops Off About Kdramas, and we’re kicking things off with Flower of Evil.

This drama came out in 2020, and for one reason or another, I just never got around to watching it. But now that I finally have… I get it.

In this episode, I share my thoughts as I watched this drama unfold. From my initial confusion about Do Hyeon Su and his two very different lives, to trying to figure out what exactly I was supposed to believe about him, to ultimately getting pulled into the emotional core of the story.

We talk about the moments that had me stressed, the moments that had me questioning everything, and the moments that really hit me emotionally (yes… Episode 11, I’m looking at you).

Since I’ve finally arrived to the Flower of Evil party, I would love to hear your thoughts on this drama! March 13, 2026

(S6) EP#181: Catch a Vibe w/Lola: Your Fave Kdrama Girlies

Today’s episode is the long overdue follow-up to last year’s Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day episode of Lola Pops Off About Kdramas. Or really, it’s another Catch a Vibe with Lola episode where I just sit back and talk about YOUR favorite Kdrama girlies.

In the original episode, I shared some of my favorite female character archetypes in Kdramaland. I talked about the kinds of characters that always stand out to me when I’m watching dramas. From the Sad Girl and the Hardworking Girl with a Heart of Gold to the Messy Girl (but we love to see it), the Kicking A** Girl, the Ride or Die Girl, and many more. At the end of that episode, I asked listeners to submit their favorite characters for each archetype.

And you really came through.

So in this episode, I’m finally circling back and looking at the responses you sent in. We’ll revisit the archetypes, talk about the characters you nominated, and celebrate just how many different kinds of women exist in Kdramaland.

If you’ve been around since my “I Pop Off About Kdramas How About You” episodes then you already know how much I enjoy hearing your thoughts and including my lovely Kdrama friends (that's you guys!) in the conversation. Reading through your responses reminded me how many incredible female characters there are across Kdramas.

So settle in, catch a vibe with me, and let’s talk about your favorite Kdrama girlies.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this episode! Let me know if you want to join the conversation with a feature in the next rendition!
