Lore on Tap blends fandom and booze in the nerdiest way possible. From butterbeer and blue milk to mead, potions, and spice, we explore the drinks and substances that fuel our favorite worlds. Expect deep dives, fan theories, and ridiculous in-universe ads that make every episode feel like it’s broadcast straight from the tavern. Grab a glass and join us as we distill fandom, shake it up, and serve it on the rocks.
E16 - Hazmat Kingdom: Zachary Returns from Disneyland to Testify
Zachary went to Disneyland and somehow came back with the timing of a man who visited the park during a literal hazmat incident. So this one-er is less a trip recap and more sworn testimony: what he drank, what he survived, and how close the Happiest Place on Earth came to becoming the Most Procedurally Concerning. Inspired by the March 10 backstage incident near Star Tours, because apparently even Disneyland can have an “unknown odor” day.

E15 - We Didn’t Change, You Did (South Park)
South Park has been yelling at everyone since 1997. Somehow, it’s still yelling.
This week, we ask the very calm and reasonable question: did South Park age well… or did the rest of us just get weird?
We break down the early shock years, the era where everything became a meta-commentary, and the modern Randy-dominated timeline where confidence is more important than accuracy. Is “equal opportunity offense” still satire or just loud neutrality? Did culture catch up to South Park, or did South Park become culture?
No solutions. Just opinions. Loud ones.
Hydrate. It’s commentary.

E14 - Tailgate Lore: A Post Super Bowl Quickie
We just crawled out of the Super Bowl and into The Fourth Quarter Inn to decompress the only way we know how: with drinks and nerdy mythmaking. Whether you watched every second or only showed up for halftime, we’ve got a five-minute speed run recap of the night’s biggest vibes; plus the official pairing: High Noon and a Paloma.

E13 - Twisted Metal: Make a Wish. Regret Everything
In this episode of Lore On Tap, Hunter and Zach dive headfirst into the chaos of Twisted Metal, the TV series that turned vehicular combat, killer clowns, and apocalypse trauma into one of the most surprisingly thoughtful adaptations in recent memory.
We break down the lore beneath the explosions, why Sweet Tooth works as both comedy and horror, and how Calypso’s tournament is really just a wish gone wrong waiting to happen. Along the way, we light our drinks on fire, argue about which characters are which drinks, and uncover why desire, not violence, is the most dangerous thing in this universe.
Buckle up.Make a wish.Regret everything.

E12 - One Drink to Rule Them All: The Fellowship Fest Drinking Tournament
Tonight on Lore On Tap, Hunter and Zach take the Lord of the Rings movies and do the one thing Tolkien never asked for: turn the Fellowship into a full-blown sports-style drinking tournament. We run a five-stop “Grand Tour” across Middle-earth’s most iconic vibes, Shire endurance, Bree chaos, Rohan horn energy, Moria stout stamina, and Rivendell elegance, then seed a bracket to crown the true champion.
Along the way: scouting reports on every competitor, a simple Ranger’s Highball you can make in minutes, wildly unhinged in-universe commercials, and a Prancing Pony event that goes catastrophically off the rails. Who actually wins when the rules are consistent and the snacks are plentiful, Gimli’s stone-liver stamina, Sam’s endurance meta, Legolas’s suspicious poise, or Aragorn’s quiet competence?
Hydrate. Eat something. And if you feel the urge to monologue, maybe check for arrows.

E11 - Last Save Before Midnight
It’s New Year’s Eve; the moment when clocks reset, promises get made, and some choices quietly lock in forever.
This week on Lore On Tap, Hunter and Zach dive into Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 to talk about video games that warn you politely before everything changes… and what happens when you ignore them.
One game lies to you about time.
The other already knows you ran out.
Along the way, they break down invisible decision flags, irreversible consequences, and why some stories hurt more when they don’t give you a second chance. Plus, they raise a glass with a neon Blood in the Chrome cocktail and a campfire-honest Four Peaks Golden Lager, argue about regret, and wonder whether anyone ever actually reloads the save.
If this is your last save before midnight… are you okay with it?

E10 - Die Hard is Officially a Christmas Movie? (And Other Drunk Holiday Truths)
It’s Christmas at Lore On Tap, which means cozy vibes, questionable opinions, and a frankly dangerous number of holiday movies. Hunter and Zachary crack open some whipped vodka creations and a very on-brand Cutwater White Peppermint Russian as they dive into the messy, nostalgic world of Christmas... and Christmas-adjacent... films.
From the “you HAVE to watch this” classics (Elf, Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone) to chaotic outliers like Die Hard and “this totally counts, trust me” picks, they try to answer the only question that matters: what actually makes something a Christmas movie?
Along the way, you’ll get:
The official Lore On Tap “Christmas Movie Recommendation.”
Hot takes on beloved holiday staples
Confessions about weird personal December watch traditions
And a full lineup of absurd in-universe ads, including North Pole HR, Nakatomi party insurance, and Krampus & Claus mediation services
Grab a drink, press play, and prepare to defend your favorite festive comfort movie with your whole chest.

E9 - Stranger Things Happen When I Drink
Stranger Things meets D&D meets total meta chaos. A Hawkins basement campaign goes off the rails—and we’re drinking along with it.
2 goofy sponsor spots and 5 wacky upside-down commercials will have you wishing you drank more.

E8 - Howl's Moving Bar and Spirited Away the Heist
This week we are getting Ghibli with it! We are visiting Howl’s Moving Bar as many of the characters from the Ghibli films drink and enjoy the space recently updated by a bored Howl. We also have some incredible spoof commercials for you, including Hunter and me serenading you with holiday Ghibli songs, a Spirited Away heist, and Calcifer’s coffee to help you recover after a night at the bar. We also have an amazing cucumber sake drink inspired by Ghibli and its focus on nature and calm, reflective moments. Enjoy the ride.

E7 - Fortnite and Forty-Ounces: The Springfield Crossover Extravaganza!
When Duff Beer sponsors a Fortnite crossover, Springfield becomes the battleground for corporate chaos. Duffman drops in to hype the Duff Royale, Krusty cashes out with his “Victory Meal,” and Ned Flanders tries to keep things wholesome with his new faith-based dating app, Only Saints. As Homer grinds for XP and extra calories, Springfield’s marketing meltdown blurs the line between product placement and apocalypse.

E6 - Where’s the Rum Gone
This week on Lore on Tap, we finally tackle the question every pirate (and movie fan) has asked: why is the rum always gone? We chart the history and lore behind rum in Pirates of the Caribbean, dig into what it really symbolizes, and debate how it became the drink of choice for scallywags across the Seven Seas. Along the way, we feature a few of our signature in-universe commercials and sponsor spots, hold a full-blown pirate therapy session, and welcome a guest from Germany to share their take on pirate culture abroad. It’s part history, part chaos, and all rum.

E5 - A Very Wednesday Tuesday (The Nevermore Aftermath Awards)
Last night, Nevermore Academy threw a party so wild that Thing left holding hands with pugsly. Now the candles have burned low, the punch bowl is suspiciously empty, and it’s time to honor the beautiful chaos we left behind.
Join the Lore Distillery crew as we hand out this year’s Nevermore Aftermath Awards, recognizing such prestigious feats as Most Likely to Hide a Body After the Party, Most Likely to Make Out in a Mausoleum, and Most Likely to Deliver a Toast That Ends in a Threat.
It’s the perfect blend of gothic snark, dark academia, and bad decisions, all inspired by Wednesday and her gloriously twisted classmates. Grab something black (liquid or fabric), raise a glass, and toast to the weird, the wicked, and the wonderfully hungover.

E4 - Bender Drinks: Fuel, Vice, or Both?
Good news, everyone! This week we’re cracking open a bottle of MomCorp Industrial Solvent #5 and arguing over the drunkest robot in the galaxy. Join us as we debate whether Bender is an alcoholic or just a highly efficient ethanol engine, roast Futurama’s most questionable booze science, and dream up cocktails that could double as rocket fuel. Warning: this episode may contain flaming belches, questionable life choices, and a legally concerning amount of robot rust.

E2 - Indiana Jones vs. Marion Ravenwood: Who Drinks Who Under the Table?
Indiana Jones may have survived snakes, Nazis, and supernatural face-melters, but can he survive a drinking contest with Marion Ravenwood? This week, your cohosts break down one of cinema’s greatest unanswered questions: who’s really the heavyweight champion of the Indiana Jones barroom? We dive into on-screen evidence, off-screen theories, and just how many shots of Relic Rum it would take before Indy loses his hat.
And yes, sprinkled throughout the chaos are our signature spoof commercials — the in-universe fake ads no one asked for but everyone needs. From cursed cocktail kits to dubious temple-tour travel agencies, our sponsors are somehow even less trustworthy than Belloq.
So grab your fedora, crack that whip (responsibly), and join us for a round at the Ravenwood Tavern. 🍻

E3 - What Actually Is Butterbeer?
Butterbeer... is it just sweet froth in a mug, or is it secretly a low-key magical intoxicant? In this week’s episode, we dissect every possible answer: from canon mentions to fan theories that butterbeer packs a boozy punch. We stir up recipes, magical hangover cures, and ask if wizards are just really bad at naming drinks.
And because this is Lore Distillery, you’ll also get our signature spoof commercials — chaotic in-universe ads you’d only hear after three tankards too many. From house-elf hangover cures to sketchy broomstick rideshares, these sponsors are as questionable as a polyjuiced butterbeer vendor.
Grab your wands, raise your mugs, and join us for a frothy debate you didn’t know you needed. 🍻

E1 - The Galactic Cantina Tour
Have you ever been barhopping and thought to yourself, "What if I could do this in the Star Wars Universe?" Well, today your cohosts strap in for the end-all, be-all galactic bar crawl. From Yoda tearing his shirt off, to wishing Padmé would finally notice us, to debating whether the Cantina band does encores, this adventure asks the real questions: Where will we go? What will we drink? And will we actually survive hyperspace-level hangovers?
Of course, it wouldn’t be Lore on Tap without our signature in-universe spoof commercials. Expect unhinged ad breaks from questionable galactic sponsors — the kind of ads you’d definitely hear after three shots of Relic Rum and a Death Stick chaser.
Grab your lightsabers and pour a cold one… we’re getting blasted (into space). 🍻
