Kingdom Ethics | Generous Living: What Motivates the Way We Give? | September 20, 2026
What motivates the way we give?
In this message from the Sermon on the Mount, we explore Matthew 6:1–4 and Jesus’ teaching on generous living. Jesus challenges us to look beyond the act of giving and examine the motives of our hearts. Generosity is not simply about what we do, but why we do it.
Together, we’ll consider what it means to give with compassion, care for those in need, reflect the character of God, and practice righteousness without seeking recognition or praise from others. Jesus invites us to live generously because we trust God, value people, and desire to make His Kingdom visible in the world around us.
Key Scriptures:
Matthew 6:1–4
Matthew 5:16
Proverbs 14:31
Proverbs 19:17
Romans 12:17
1 Chronicles 29
As we follow Jesus, may our generosity flow from hearts that are being transformed by Him.

Kingdom Ethics | Love Your Enemies: Jesus’ Radical Way of Living | September 13, 2026
What does it look like to respond when someone hurts us?
In this message from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus challenges us to move beyond retaliation and toward a radically different way of living. In Matthew 5:38–48, Jesus teaches us to respond to those who hurt, oppose, or mistreat us in ways that reflect the heart of God.
We’ll explore what it means to turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, choose generosity over retaliation, and ultimately love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Jesus isn’t calling us to be passive or become a doormat. He is inviting us into a new way of being human, one shaped by the values of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Key Scriptures: • Matthew 5:38–48 • Exodus 21:22–25 • 1 Thessalonians 5:15 • Romans 12:17 • Leviticus 19:17–18 • Romans 5:10
How might Jesus be inviting you to respond differently to the people who have hurt you? As we follow King Jesus, we discover that His way of responding can transform not only our relationships, but who we are becoming.

Do our words and promises really matter?
In this message from our Sermon on the Mount series, we explore Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5:33–37 and His call for His followers to live with honesty and integrity.
Jesus challenges us to let our “yes” be yes and our “no” be no. Our words matter because dishonesty can damage relationships, break trust, and affect the way others see the Gospel through our lives.
This message invites us to take an honest look at the promises we make, the words we speak, and the commitments we have made to God and others. What does it look like to become people whose word can be trusted?
Key Scriptures:
• Matthew 5:33–37
• Leviticus 19:12
• Numbers 30:2
• Exodus 20:7
• Proverbs 12:22
• Proverbs 16:28
