<p>为了使这个名字更加合适，我让人们都戴上绿色眼镜，这样他们看到一切都成了绿色的。<br /></p><p>“难道这里的一切不都是绿的吗？”多萝茜问。<br /></p><p>“并不比别的城市更绿，”奥兹说，“可戴上绿眼镜后你看到的一切就都变成绿色了。”<br /></p><p>绿宝石城是许多年前建造的，气球把我带到这里来时，我还是个年轻人，现在我已经是个老头子了。可是我的人民这么长时间来一直戴着绿眼镜，所以大多数人都以为这真的是一座绿宝石城。�我对人民很仁慈，他们都爱戴我。不过，自从这座宫殿建好之后，我就闭门不出，不再见他们任何人了，因为我担心那些女巫。<br /></p><p>这片土地上，一共有四个女巫，他们有一些很神奇的本领，而我却一点儿魔法也不会。北方和南方的女巫都很善良，我知道她们是不会伤害我的。但东方和西方的女巫极其邪恶，要不是她们以为我比她们更厉害，肯定早就把我给灭了。<br /></p><p>就这样，我怀着对她们的恐惧，惶惶不安地过了许多年。<br /></p><p>所以，你们可以想象，当我听说多萝茜杀死了邪恶的东方女巫时，我是多么高兴。后来你们来找，我希望你们能把另一个女巫也消灭掉。而现在，多萝茜把她化掉了，我就只好惭愧地承认，我没法履行我的诺言。<br /></p><p>“我认为你是一个很坏的人。”多萝茜说。<br /></p><p>“哦，不，亲爱的，我其实是个很好的人，但我是个很糟糕的魔法师，这点我必须承认。”<br /></p><p>听到这里，稻草人、铁皮人和狮子都无比沮丧，难道我们费尽心血消灭了邪恶女巫，愿望却要落空了吗？多萝茜一下子也懵了，自言自语道：“那我要怎么回家呢？”<br /></p><p>好了，今天的故事到这里就要结束了。各位同学，大家快快闭上眼睛，睡觉吧~晚安~<br /></p><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span>

绿野仙踪（12）
<p>他领着多萝茜他们去到觐见室后面的一个小房间。那颗大脑袋就放在那里，是用纸一层一层糊起来的，脸上的五官则是画上去的。<br /></p><p>“我用一根绳子把它从天花板上悬挂下来，然后站在屏风后面，拉动一根线，让它眼睛会动，嘴巴会张。”<br /></p><p>“可是那声音呢？” 多萝茜问。<br /></p><p>“我会口技。我可以把我的声音随便投到任何地方，所以你们会以为它是从大脑袋里发出来的。”<br /></p><p>“你真该为自己是这么个大骗子感到脸红。” 多萝茜愤怒地说。<br /></p><p>“是啊——确实是的，”小个子男人悲哀地回答，“可是我没有别的办法。请坐下吧，这里椅子多的是。我把我的故事讲给你们听听。”<br /></p><p>于是，他们坐下来，听他讲了下面这个故事。<br /></p><p>“我出生在奥马哈——”<br /></p><p>“啊，那儿离堪萨斯不远！”多萝西大声说。�“是不远，但离这里可就远了。”他忧伤地对她摇了摇头。然后继续说：<br /></p><p>长大后，我成了一名口技演员，可以模仿出任何一种动物的叫声。后来，我厌倦了，就去马戏团做了一个气球驾驶员。每天坐着气球上天，吸引一大批观众，买票去看马戏。<br /></p><p>有一天，我坐着气球上天，结果绳子缠在一起，没法降落了，气球就一直升到高高的云端，我在空中飘了一天一夜，然后在一片陌生而美丽的土地上降落下来。<br /></p><p>我一点儿也没受伤，但却发现自己正在一群陌生人中间。他们看见我从云端落下来，都以为我是一个了不起的魔法师。我也随他们那样去想，因为他们害怕我，答应做我想让他们做的任何事情。我为了自己消遣，也为了让这些善良的人有事情做，就让他们建造了这座城市和我的宫殿。他们干得心甘情愿，非常卖力。后来我想，既然这片地方是这样翠绿和美丽，我就管它叫绿宝石城吧。<br /></p><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span>

<p>四位伙伴一齐进了觐见室。然而，那里却一个人也没有，大伙吃惊极了。突然，一个严肃的声音响起：“我是伟大而可怕的奥兹，你们为什么找我？”<br /></p><p>他们把整个房间看了个遍，实在不知道奥兹在哪儿。<br /></p><p>“你在什么地方？”他们问。<br /></p><p>“我无处不在，”那声音说，“但在凡人眼里，我是看不见的。”<br /></p><p>“好吧”多萝茜说：“我们今天来，是要求你履行诺言。你说过，西方女巫被杀死后，就送我回堪萨斯去。还有，给稻草人大脑，给铁皮伐木工一颗心，给狮子勇气。”<br /></p><p>“邪恶的西方女巫真的被杀死了？”那声音颤抖地问。<br /></p><p>“是的，”多萝茜回答，“我用一桶水把她给溶化掉了。”<br /></p><p>“天哪！”那声音说。“多么令人意外！好吧，既然这样，你们明天来再找我吧，现在，我得好好想想。”<br /></p><p>可多萝茜他们等不及了，要求必须马上兑现诺言。狮子觉得，最好吓唬吓唬魔法师，于是发出一声惊天动地的大吼叫，把竖在墙角的屏风都震倒了。所有人都朝那里望去，接着，便都吃惊得说不出话来了。�原来，刚才被屏风挡住的地方，正站着一个小老头儿，他看上去跟他们一样吃惊。<br /></p><p>“你是谁？”他们问。<br /></p><p>“我是伟大而可怕的奥兹，”小个子男人声音发抖地说。<br /></p><p>多萝茜他们又吃惊又失望地看着他。<br /></p><p>“我们还以为奥兹是颗大脑袋，是个伟大的魔法师呢。”<br /></p><p>“哦，不，”小个子男人低声下气地说，“我那是骗人的。我压根儿不是什么魔法师，我只是个普通人。”<br /></p><p>“可是，我不明白，”多萝茜迷惑地问，“你之前在我们面前怎么是一颗大脑袋呢？”<br /></p><p>“那是我变的一个戏法。”奥兹回答，“请到这边来，我把一切都告诉你们。”<br /></p><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span><span><br /></span>
