New sketch comedy pitches twice a week from Matt & Dru. Join veteran sketch comedians Dru Johnston (The Chris Gethard Show, Andy Kaufman Award winner) and Matt Moskovciak (Above Average, The Bilderbergers) as they pitch each other new ideas straight from their notebook. Sometimes it’s a full sketch premise, sometimes it’s a half idea, but either way they’re going to riff on the pitch to see if there’s something there. They also invite their favorite sketch writers and performers to join them as often as they can. New episodes on Mondays and Thursdays.

Gabe Legg pitches basketball commentators distracted by a guy eating a huge hot dog
This week's guest is GABE LEGG! Gabe is a hilarious writer and performer that we first met at UCB LA's Not Too Shabby show (RIP) where he'd always bring great character and sketch ideas to try out. Truly a perfect guest for Lunch Pitches.
Pitches this week include a grocery store that tests all its fruit by taking a bite of it first, basketball commentators distracted by a guy eating a huge hot dog, a cruise ship that has a real murder for you to solve, a non-alcoholic beer ad that says "now you can drink at work and nobody can stop you," A Christmas Carol for a completely average guy, and an AI agent that reminds you you're going to die someday.

Sam Bodenstein pitches a Broadway-themed diner where the servers do stunts
This week's guest is Sam Bodenstein. Sam is an incredibly funny improviser, actor and writer who we had the pleasure of meeting at WGIS in LA. Sam was on the old live version of Lunch Pitches and once again brought some great pitches. This is also the first episode in Lunch Pitches history that had us crying with laughter -- it's a good one, definitely stick around til the end.
Pitches this week include a bird researcher who just learned dinosaurs had feathers, a service that investigates how clean your friend's house really is, an NBA player who revolutionizes the game by politely asking for the ball, a Broadway-themed diner where the servers do stunts, a "brotherologist" who's shocked that brothers almost always grow up in the same town, and a child discipline expert who's never had kids.

Will Hines pitches a guitar teacher obsessed with Santana's "Smooth"
Our guest this week is Will Hines! Will is an incredibly funny improviser, writer, and podcaster, plus he's a longtime collaborator of ours. He's currently directing our sketch show, so he's all too used to hearing our pitches.
Pitches this week include a guitar teacher who only uses Santana's "Smooth" as an example, Meta's pervert certification program, a "don't talk to me 'til I've had my coffee" standoff, a kidnapper who can't prove his victim is actually alive, an annual check-up where everything costs extra, and an intervention for the Lucky Charms leprechaun.
And please check out Will's other podcasts: Screw It, We're Just Gonna Talk About the Beatles; Screw It, We're Just Gonna Talk About Comics; and How Do You Get Through The Day.

Geoff Garlock pitches a father whose deathbed advice is all about John Carpenter
Our very first guest on the show is... Geoff Garlock! Longtime sketch comedy writer, teacher, and director, Geoff has probably heard more pitches than almost anyone on the planet.
Pitches this week include a magician who's surprised by his own tricks, an instructional drumming video that's the same beat every time, a dad who gets hooked on saying "it's a zoo in here", and a 90s-style sitcom
And definitely check out the very funny comedy podcast Geoff cohosts 108.9 The Hawk (https://www.youtube.com/@1089thehawk) about a fictional classic rock radio station.

LA's biggest law firm will overwhelm you with lawyers
The very first episode of Lunch Pitches! Twice a week, Dru Johnston (The Chris Gethard Show, Andy Kaufman Award winner) and Matt Moskovciak (Above Average, The Bilderbergers) pitch each other new sketch comedy ideas straight from their notebooks.
Matt and Dru kick off the show by introducing themselves and sharing a couple pitches each, including a law firm that focuses entirely on how many lawyers they have, a guy who only watches porn for the pizza, a daycare that refuses to show smiling children in their ads, and someone that just really wants to talk about Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.
