Auld Lang Syne
30年代在上海有「音樂才子」之稱的陳歌辛，寫了一首歌〈恭喜恭喜〉，這首歌是在1945年抗日戰爭勝利時，慶賀舉國上下同心協力、歷盡磨難，如同度過寒冬迎接春天到來而寫的歌。多年以來，已經成為家喻戶曉的賀年歌了。抗日戰爭勝利的喜訊傳來的晚上，大家衝上街頭，那份興奮的心情，的確和過年一樣。也讓人聯想到杜甫，因為安史之亂，飄泊到劍門關外，再聽到朝廷軍隊收復叛軍時，欣喜若狂而寫的詩〈聞官軍收河南河北〉。無獨有偶在歐美，人們以〈Auld Lang Syne〉這首歌，來慶賀新年的到來。歌詞是蘇格蘭詩人Robert Burns在1788年寫的，歌詞裡「讓我們為過去的美好時光，乾一杯吧！」正如「恭喜！恭喜！恭喜你！」的心情是一樣的啊！讓我們的節目，平安地與聽眾們度過疫情，在這祝福的歌聲中結束吧！

普羅米修斯
普羅米修斯，就是遠見、先見、先知的意思，和艾比米修斯，就是後見、後知後覺、反思的意思。普羅米修斯是一個對人類很愛護和照顧的天神，他精於各項手藝，數學、建築、寫作、金屬手工都由他起源。天帝看到普羅米修斯和人類的關係那麼好，原本已經十分嫉妒，普羅米修斯卻又耍弄天帝，天帝怒不可遏，就不許人類有火。普羅米修斯變把火從天上偷到人間，結果，他和艾比米修斯都受到懲罰。天帝宙斯把普羅米修斯鎖在一塊大石上，每天老鷹會來啄食他的肝，到了晚上他的肝又會再長回來，老鷹在白天又再回來啄食。一直到海格力斯去找金蘋果的路上，才把他解救出來。

天神兄弟的故事，他們的名字是愛勒斯（Atlas）、普羅米修斯（Prometheus）、艾比米修斯（Epimetheus）、曼尼西斯（Menoetius）。在天神的一場大戰裡，他們四兄弟，兩個兩個選邊站，愛勒斯和曼尼西斯選錯邊，戰敗後被天帝宙斯懲罰，愛勒斯得永遠站在大地的西邊，不分晝夜、無論晴雨，用肩膀把天空撐起來。atlas這個字是「地圖集」的意思。但是天神愛勒斯撐住的是天，不該是把地球背在肩膀上。在古希臘時代，他們還沒有「大地是一個圓球」這個觀念。不過到了十六世紀，有一個人出版了一本地圖集，畫上了天神愛勒斯把地球背在肩膀上的畫，自此atlas這個字就用來作為地圖集的意思了。
