Objects in the mirror are not as close as they appear.
Hey besties. This year is coming to a close and we’ve checked our mirrors, grieved, got up, rested, made hard decisions and went against the grain and praise God we made it to the end. This is the perfect time reflection and time for reevaluating. But not reminiscing.
Whatever is behind you, contrary to what the mirror on your car says, is NOT as close to you as it seems to be. Let's leave it there.
Jesus said to remember Lot's wife. So let's not stay back there for too long, mkay?

Offense, Defense, Transition.
Mercury is in microbraids, and life is changing. Since 2024 started, both myself and those around me sense the same thing. Whether it’s starting new, starting over, starting again, leaving behind or stepping out, it’s all change. There’s two ways in which we can live our life and both are by choice. Whether you recognize you have the option or not. But, there is the gray area where we don’t know which option that is, and you're in the middle.
Whatever season you find yourself in, be reminded God sees you is in each phase.

If we understood the power of our decisions, we’d realize how much we can’t depend on our own understanding to make the right ones. It makes me question, is it really that deep? And to be honest, it is. What will we choose?

Get somewhere and sit down.
This week, I’m slowing it down mentally and physically. If you’re a busy body, a worry worm, an overthinker, even a workaholic, you have found your tribe, and your episode. Rest is precious. So precious God made a whole day for it. When your body goes without it, you operate on fumes. Elijah knows it is well. So do I. After this episode, I pray not just your body, but your mind and spirit have a deep exhale. Grab a blanket, it’s time we all get some rest.

You can always come home/Back to the bread.
We have all wandered off from our relationship with God. Grief is one of the most misunderstood experiences a person can endure and leaves us all to cope in different ways. Studying Naomi, we see the cause and effect of doing our own thing, and in result: grief. But one thing is for sure.
Suffering is optional, hardship is inevitable. It matters how we respond. Let’s go home.
